selling your stuff on Amazon - part 8 - advice for newbies in the first 2 posts

Hmmmmmmmm no sales since 28th Feb having had my best month yet in Feb. Went to check my listings and on clicking many of them it says 'item not available'. No wonder I've not sold anything..... There's a message about something called 'outage' on the page too

Presumably Amazon are fiddling about with the site again

Hi Cat,

if you look at the item listing for the product you want to sell, there's a section called 'product details' which includes the sales ranking - example below;

We recently received 3 out of 5 for a disc that 'didn't arrive'. So we started the tracking process, emailed the buyer, who then said she was mistaken; the disc had arrived, very quickly, a month ago - the missing item was something else altogether. Hmm.

She has removed the feedback (but not left positive), but our score has not been adjusted. How long will this take? Is it worth chasing Amazon? We liked our 100%!

i am after a bit of advice

do)... and it was a lot of money for a book that I opened and the pages came
away from the spine, but apart from that, thanks for sending it out so

i always recheck books before i send them out and there was nothing wrong with the pages
the book was called "Compulsive Hair Pulling" (i didnt write it !)
yes the book was expensive £18 but on checking the price of the next 1 was £26.60

so do i email back offering a refund ?, she hasnt asked for one or left feedback

and do refund show on your record as i had to do a refund the other day because somebody changed their mind ?

Lol. I know I shouldn't laugh or be wicked but she sounds like a fruit cake. Maybe she compulsively pulls pages out of books too.

Is she actually asking for anything from you?

I'm surprised I had one removed this week and it was fairly instantaneous, I would leave it 24 hours before you contact Amazon. last night Amazon had a few problems so that could be the reason.

I've just been gifted five boxes of books, have sorted through them, two boxes to the charity shop, one box already listed (many for £10 plus ) and two boxes of weird and wonderful stuff which is going to need some research to price! So I think I might be needing advice over the next week or so, plus I now have enough listings to count myself as a 'real' Amazon seller.

Who knows whether any of them will sell, but hey, it's an interesting expeirience sifting through them all anyway!

My second month of half price pro seller is up to day and for this month I managed to sell 28 books. I really need to up my sales now to cover the full price pro seller after next month.

ive also come to my pro-seller renewal and sold 24 , Feb has been the worst month since i started selling with the majority of those 24 in the first 2 weeks and hardly any in the last 2,

its going to have to dramatically improve next month !
