Did a visit to a computer shop on 12/09. Store had relocated. Closed the shop down on the RE website. Allocator said I would be paid the fee. Numerous emails back and forth, nothing has still been done. Who am I supposed to contact regarding this? Do they have an accounts department? Not going to bother emailing the allocator as I would probably get more of a response out of a brick wall! Help please x x x

Mimi, I've only had a closed shop fee once with Retail Eyes, I think in that instance it took about a month and a half to resolve and allcommunication went via the allocator.

Oh fcuk! When I email the allocator, she just replies with what I have said and changes a few words around. I'm so tempted to send her a proof reading query! How do you think it will make me feel when you send me an email that makes no sense at all???!!!

Ring them, go over the allocators head. They are useless when it comes to these types of shops. Take a look at the MSPA and MRS guidence on Mystery Shopping. You start spouting the guidelines at them they get scared and act quickly as they dont wanna risk the fines / loss of accreditation.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Thanks dude. Appreciate that. Please let whoever I speak to not be as dim as the allocator!!! Sorry, don't mean to sound like a cow pat, but allocators for other companies such as RM, GR, REACT are all dead nice. I've got a feeling I might bin RE as someone I work for in the near future as I am beginning to get super hacked off with them!

Ohmygoodness me. *Rant Incoming*

Just did a phone call for Helion. The chappy on the phone was perfectly nice and helpful, until it came to taking my details. Now, in an ordinary customer setting, I wouldn't want to give them my details. And, in this MS setting, I was specifically instructed to say no. And note whether they raised an objection. Which he did. THREE TIMES.

Sales dude: Shall I take some details?
Me: No thanks, I just wanted to get a price today, I'll give you a ring back later.
Sales dude: There's no committment, we can book it today and there's no charge, then you can ring back and cancel.
Me: No, it's really ok thanks, I need to check with my partner first and we'll give you a ring back.
Sales dude: If I just take your name now, I can give you a customer number and get you all set up on the system so when you ring back there's a record of our conversation.
Me: No, really, thank you, but no.
Sales dude: I could just take your name and email and get the details sent off to you now?
Me: SJDYHJASHSAJHALKUYRUIEHREKJDBNASKJDNJAD *head explodes*

Seriously! NO MEANS NO. I wish there was an extra comments box on Helion where I could complain about that, after I've said no twice I MEAN no. Both because the assignment says so and because I don't want you endlessly emailing me special offers! Go away!

Alternatively, yeah you can have my email address, it's me@gotohell.com.

Actually I think this MOS did a great job... he was over coming your objections.

I can see me falling out with GAP really really soon. Can't say too much as I have unpaid time and effort to come, but GRRRR!

I'd said no very clearly twice. I had said 3 times I only wanted a price. I shouldn't have to say no a 3rd time. You might be happy with being pestered for your information but I'm certainly not.

The new RE pub meal client brief is a bit strange. You must visit with at least one other person. You must buy one meal and one drink...then what, sit there sharing it?

Nope, you end up well out of pocket, but my local does a nice Sunday lunch, so I look on it as a discount.
