I don't understand the exact reason for limiting it to 255 but I know its a tecnical thing, something to do with binary data recording and a single binary unit only having 256 possible forms, but as 0 is one of the forms 255 is the top...I think.

There are 10 types of people in this world.
Those who understand binary and those who don't
  • Is anyone else struggling with the ESA website tonight? All my other websites are working fine but ESA is just sooooo slow. For example, when I press "page down" on my keyboard it takes at least a second to respond. Likewise with clicking on any tick boxes or buttons and scrolling with my mouse doesn't work at all for at least 2 seconds and then skips down to the bottom of the page. It's driving me mad and taking an hour each report and I have 14 to submit :'(

I had the same problem with ESA yesterday, very slow and jumping all over the place. I'm using IE. Are any other servers better ?

    Haha yup :rotfl:

I made quiches for all the family yesterday so that used up 12 of the damn things but I still have 10 boxes sitting in the kitchen. Luckily housemate has a fascination with Carbonara and my choccy melting middle puddings so he'll eat a good few, and son has a fascination with baking cakes so he'll use a few too, breakfast shall be eggy bread, egg sandwich or eggs with soldiers for the next few days tho.

Got desperate for something new yesterday and made pizza omlettes - 6 eggs, whisked and topped with cheese and pepperoni then shoved under the grill, that went down well :D

Luckinly I had some audits and supermarkets earlier in the week so stocked up on flour, sugar, cream etc, but if anyone wants to come for tea (egg based) or fancies some cakes or cookies please pm me.
  • Also wish Gfk did not automatically deallocate at midnight. I lost track of the time doing these ESA reports and have now lost 8 jobs that I needed to enter reports for on Gfk. That'll teach me. Note to self. Prioritise Gfk reports over ESA reports.

    ..............
  • I am drowning in the bloody things, I already have 6 hens so the last thing I need is shop bought eggs! I have done 20 of them this week. Got to the point i can't give them away.

Lol. My local homeless charity will only take sealed items and tins so I can't donate them either.

Although having done some audits in a different area this week it appears the managers (in that area at least) are under the impression that we bring them back for a refund!

I've been driven to stupid lengths to get rid of them at times, homemade pasta and gnocci, cakes, quiches, peppermint creams, using them as a coating for meat/fish with some flour. Haven't quite got round to the bodybuilders special of whisked raw eggs and milk as a drink (and what was the book where the girl was in a workhouse and mixed a drink of raw eggs for her friend was it the secret garden?).

Also from talking to other people in retail it appears that other companies have instructed their staff not to check eggs any more so not sure why this one still does. The job requirements make it so easy to recognise the shopper it must make results next to useless anyway.

Anyway, rant over, back to bloody report writing. Speed up esa !!!!!!

Happy Eid to all who are celebrating :j

I did loads of egg jobs and my lot got sick of eating egg based dishes as well. If your children have sensible friends in, you can send them home with a box of eggs :rotfl: Close friends are used to getting random freebies :o
Here I go again on my own....
