This GR supermarket is taking the !!!!!! now! Over 4 hours late, but they keep insisting on the phone that my order is on the van, and will be with me soon as it's 'next on the list'. Well it can't have been next on the bloody list for 4 hours! (Well, about 3 hours since I first phoned and they said that anyway!)

I need to go out, so will have to cancel the order and re order by 10pm tonight for delivery tomorrow. But obviously being the weekend there is no one at the GR office so can't reschedule the job. I know I can phone them on Monday morning, but has anyone else got one of these jobs this weekend, as I can't remember if tomorrow was a day I could have chosen. I think it was, and the briefing notes do say it has to be delivered on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, so I assume tomorrow would have been one of the days.
What a nightmare. Feel like a prisoner in my own home lol!!

Luckily the other 2 jobs booked for today for me were phone calls! So glad I didn't have an afternoon of visits planned.

Don't think I can condense all of my communication with the call centre / store into 255 characters though!

I have an archos 101 which plays flash, has android market, has usb port, so very useful! and yes it has a camera :)
Not seen the archos but have had the media players from them before. Just had a quick look on the web at it and it seems a good bit of kit for the money.

What do people think about this- Did a RE pub job today (1 off list A 1 off B) I ordered a Budvar and a coke, and a burger. The MOS said that my burger came with a drink, and I said not to worry about it. However he insisted that I ordered another drink to save me money. I told him I didn't want another one, so he said, "I'll put it through as a Budvar and a Carling, but pour you a coke instead of a Carling." Sooo, my receipt says the burger, a carling and a budvar. I took a sneeky photo of the receipt with the 2 correct drinks which I received. But I know the RE proofreaders can be a bit strange sometimes, so do you think this will be ok? Any advice on what to put in the notes?

It's a day for it....... just did cheap GR supermarket. On a Saturday. Enough said.

ETA - Can anyone help locate the store and transaction number on a cheap supermarket receipt? The GR notes, unhelpfully, only give an example of posh supermarket and this receipt does not in any correspond.

There are 4 numbers listed across the bottom next to the date and time and I have no idea what any of them correspond to.

Write it up but what they did was wrong, and can be illegal. I would have also said actually I'll just have it the way I want as my im just in town for the night for work and my boss will only reimburse 1 unit of alchol thanks though.

It's not a good menu item to choose. They'll reimburse the free drink but you also need to buy another coke as well. So order the Budvar, the burger and the free drink then order the coke afterwards. Yes you'll have 3 drinks. You can just throw the free one away if you don't want it.

RE proofreaders are on another planet and make you average Yank look clever. Good luck getting this one through without a number of mind boggling queries.

Go over the proof readers head before they come to you, ring the contact, tell him / her what happened and ask that it be passed on to the account manager and after the first proof reading query on it comes in call and ask for the acc manager again. Make waves higher up and the proof readers cop on, I think they live in a room with no windows so the sun light wont get them and they fear the acc managers coming to speak to them as it lets the light in :rotfl:
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.
