I took back a set of Technika twin dvd players today, bought for a friend who, in the end, didn't want them. Any way I bought them for #24 (sorry key boared messed up). When SA scanned them she gave a suprised look, so I asked if the price had come down again...... they had been reduced to #9.50 so I returned and repurchased. They can go for a christmas present or be kept in the cupboard for that price!

I'm a great believer in conspiracy theorys. Tesco have built a market leading profitable business both here and abroad. Prices and price changes might seem odd and atrract a lot of attention. There is method in the madness!;)

My main concern with most of the big stores, is that they often have a habit of putting goods with a shelf edge sticker that is cheaper and sometimes deceives you into buying something for a higher price. I just want a fair deal. I have often stood at the till in my Tesco Express as the shelf edge sticker says one thing and they sometimes say, oh, the deal has ended now, or it relates to another item, but they have to give it to you at the price advertised. I don't even ask for DTD-just what it is advertised for. That will do for me.

I scanned one on Sunday and they were still scanning full price. However I did manage to find a Technika 9" Portable DVD player (with man on the box) that was reduced to £40 so with my £15 Tesco moneycard I received only cost £25 :)

And before people say anything, yes I know it's not as good a deal as the twin pack :p But been looking for nearly a month now and still haven't found them, so thought this was the next best thing especially as it will keep my DD entertained on long car trips and when we go on holiday next year :)

I didn't realise you could return and repurchase the item at a lower price  I took back two toys the other day I originally paid £6.97 and £15.97 but both scanned at £1.50, if I had known that I would have bought them back

There is a different product available - a single portable DVD player which has a normal plug and rechargeable battery (no car adapter) which are £19.97 each. This is also old stock so not available everywhere. Brand is Technika, it has a 7" screen.
