I personally have never worn one, but i would guess they just flatten the fat out evenly, so you have less lumps and bumps giving an overall more flattering figure? In the same sort of fashion as a corset would.0 -
I've just bought the black wrap dress. After some time working out how to squeeze into the slip (I agree stepping in and working it up was easier). Once on it looks completely fabulous! No lumps and bumps and shows off all the right bits! I'm 5 ft 10 and have to say it was a joy to find a dress that fits. Tall girls out there I recommend it!0

All of the clothes are too long for me (I'm just under 5'3") but they are reasonable quality for the price. I bought a top which I am very happy with and I'm hoping they'll bring out a petite range soon.0

But there is a standard sized 12 !!! It is laid down and I am it the fact is that now the clothing industry ignores it because people have fatter waists and hips
Wow. Seriously?gucciqueen wrote: »Gok dresses women that have problems with wobble bits etc
Exactly! The Op apparently has the perfect figure, yet this is not what Gok is about. The range is supposed to flatter your curves and pull in your wobbly bits - so why on earth would the clothes then be made for people without curves or wobbly bits?!?
Personally, I am very excited about trying on the range. The majority of high street clothes are made for shorter women, so it's about time that a range came out that fits taller women. Thank you Gok!!! :T
I am only 5'7, but still find that most trousers (and sometimes sleeves) are always just that little bit too short... which makes it even more ridiculous that someone who can fit into all of these clothes feels the need to vent when ONE range doesn't quite fit (insert rolling eyes smiley here).0 -
I haven't tried any of the clothes myself, but I've never seen Gok put a woman in a pair of flats. I always thought he was of the school of thought that if you were short, you should wear killer heels. That might explain the problems some of you have been having with length? If you have a stupidly long pair of trousers and stupidly tall heels, you will of course look taller (and thereby slimmer, because your shape will be stretched out) and that might be what he's gone for.
Personally, I now feel too old to care about being short and I can't walk in stilettos without wobbling and acquiring about a dozen blisters on each foot, so I'm not even going to try.0 -

But, if the 50% of Sainsbury's customers who are 5' 4" or under cannot wear the range, it does seem a little ill thought-out.
By the way, although under 5' 4", I am a size 12, I don't need to lose weight (thank you!!) and have no problem with most other clothing ranges.
Sainsburys clothing always comes up massive though, I'm an 8-10 and their 8s are always too big (in fact, wearing a pair of their joggers now and they're hanging off lol)0 -

Long seems to be 32 inches in most places but I'd call that regular0 -
Bought the black slash neck dress, wore it last night and was stopped by 4 strangers to compliment it and ask where it was from. Particularly satisfying was the lady in Selfridges who was clutching all the Harrods' bags. Wore the red wrap dress on Thursday and similar response. Shoulder pads didn't sit well so had to be removed and it didn't need the inner corset thingie but otherwise fabulous. More please!!0

Bought the lovely cross over red dress (size 18) then tried to get into the support under thing. After 20 minutes of nearly getting my head only into it I asked my son'ts girlfriend (size 8) to try it on. It was too tight for her!!
Think it may be going back. Such a shame.0 -

Try going in feet first! I tried two on today (16 and 18), and didn't even bother trying to get it over my head after reading the previous comments. It does take a couple of minutes to get it on (lots of wriggling and jiggling, lol!) - but it is definitely worth it. I couldn't decide between sizes, and between the red and the floral so will have to go back when I've got a bit more time - they are a bit more than I'd usually spend on a dress so can't justify buying both!
Saying that, I do find them good value as the support slip would usually cost £20-30 on its own, and you will get a lot of wear out of it as you can remove it and use it with other outfits.0
