Why not ignore the sizes and buy clothes that fit ? Does it matter what the labels say ?

Yes. I find the cheaper the shop, the bigger the size I need. For example, in H&M I'm an 18 or even a 20, but in M&S or Wallis, I'm a 14.

Still don't understand why what the label says matters ? It's always been this way, you're never going to get a standard size at every retailer. Just buy the ones that fit.

Sorry OP but I really think you are the issue and not the clothes, If you dont like that the size 12 does not fit you then loose a few lb then it will fit if that is not on option then just accept the facts and get a bigger size.
Wrong. The OP actually mentioned for the jodhpurs she needed a size 8.

Then she is the only woman in the world that would actually complain about needing a smaller size

You are right about the cheaper the shop the smaller the size. i think this is a fabric/money saving trick on their side.

mind you, the brand MANGO is kind of an expensive brand and their clothes are TINY!

Don't bother unless your are reading the whole post and are actually interested .

the point if you are bothered is that nothing was wearable because the trousers were too long and too big /the dress fitted but the underwear was unwearable and the dress was too long-ok

I'm not a blethering idiot I can of course just buy another size but funny they dont let you swap bits of the dress!! You have to buy the whole thing but I will work on lengthening my legs as obviously us thick scottish people are too short!!

SS if i'm just being a little bit dense, but are slimming tops not supposed to be tight? I know you said you could not get it on, but surely the tighter it fits the slimmer you'll look making it better?

Also the point is that that whole range has cost a fortune-I am in Finance -this bugs me!

They have paid Gok wan, sent all the sainsbury assistants to London and yet this morning no one bought anything -it comes eventually out of our pockets !! Why is everyone so complacent -why not try and make stuff that fits people ?? All you so what buy another size folk who just dont get it I think I will stand at Sainsbury's in the morning and take an exit poll and see if anything actually fits anyone.

We live in well it doesn't really matter land or I can't quite be arsed to be bothered not the UK

So why didn't you just say it would have been nice if they had petite versions of the clothes for the shorter stature.
