It's only 'sort of' as the mortgage interest will bring it back up again
You are sub 36k today :j Now don't look again till next payment and you'll stay sub 36k. Simples :D.

    Brilliant stuff :T

    Morning, that's a cause for  :j:j

18 months is nothing - great news to read.

    Best wishes Tilly x x

Thanks Tilly :D The Tilly Tidy's have helped enormously - wouldn't be where I am now without that fabulous idea!! ;)

    Loving that plan gg!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Well, the weather today will prevent me slobbing in the garden, but it's really nice to have the rain....everything smells fresh and after the stickiness of the last few days, its a welcome relief! :D

I have decided that I shall have a quick house clean, get up to date with the laundry and go out to get some dog food today then I am spending the rest of it drinking wine and catching up with recorded TV.....tomorrow I will be doing a menu plan, putting on another batch of wine, cooking dinner and drinking wine!! Can you see the theme emerging!! :rotfl:

I am going away in a couple of weeks and am going to take the opportunity to start to get myself sorted physically - the job has been so hectic I have really let myself slide...my skin and hair are in bad condition, my water intake has practically disappeared and I am taking almost no exercise at all so have become a bit flabby :o Need to tackle myself as well as the mortgage!!

However, one thing at a time.... I am going to have a look at my bank account today and see if I can do a sneaky TT!! :D

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! :D

ETA - just sneaked in another £20 TT!!

Mortgage OP £50/£600 House Fund £420/£5000
  • Did everything I intended to do yesterday and a little bit more......laundry now up to date, house relatively clean, food inventory done and menu-planned up until I go away in a couple of weeks!! :D

So far today, the slobbing is going beautifully!! ;) I am sitting in my kitchen with a latte and the patio door fully open to enjoy the fresh air, watching the pheasants and squirrels do their thing and realising that these periods of total peace and solitude on a Saturday and Sunday morning are the things that keep me sane!! :D

Plan for today is putting on the lamb later and probably sending dh to the shops to get me a bottle of something lovely to go with it....other than that, nothing at all!!

I opened one of my change tins yesterday....£17 in 5, 2 & 1ps...transferred the cash straight to the mortgage :j

Right, off to make another pot of coffee....enjoy your Sunday!! :D

Hello ICTD, hope you enjoy your second coffee.

You just prompted me to think about my change tin.

Will go away now and count the contents and transfer them to my mortgage tomorrow. Absolutely certain the bank will love me when I walk in with bags full of copper!
Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

I'm counting down the days!! :rotfl:(as long as job continues that long and remains full time of course! ;))

I have set myself the target of clearing my mortgage by 11/12/15 That's 518 days away...

Drinking my latte this morning, I realised that this week has absolutely flown past and counting the mortgage time remaining in days will help keep my motivation up and encourage me to make the most of every day! :D It's actually a couple of weeks short of the last target I set, but I love a challenge

Added another £50 to the mortgage this morning as ds gave me some rent money and dd gave me £10 she owed me :Dnormally I would have told her not to bother, but now I am on this mortgage mission....;):rotfl:

    Have a great weekend!!! :D

    511 now! ;)

Nothing more to the mortgage yet, that will all come next week when I get paid!! :j

I have been looking at ways to save extra pennies though... I have changed my mobile phone recently which will save me an extra £10 per month and dh and I have decided to change my broadband supplier and get rid of sky (can't do it until August though as took on dd contract when she moved back in last year) - hopefully this will free up another £30....:D

I have also discovered what my actual salary is!! Since I started this job, I have gone from part time to full time - my first month wasn't a full month, my second month was full but at part time hours, my third month was full time but not a full month!!! :rotfl: Basically, I had no idea until this month what my take home pay would be and now that I have found out, I am pleasantly surprise!! :D I may well be able to sneak an extra £50 a month to the mortgage payment as a result....long may the full time hours continue!! ;)

Not sure how we are doing on the grocery front...I am going away this week so will have to see what it's like when I come back...dh always tends to go a bit mad when I am away so don't want to count the cash now and depress myself when I come back!! :o

Right, I'm off to get packed and ready.....hope everyone is well and has a good week
