When you going to start taking online orders for your wine ictd? They sound lovely and every time I read about you putting some more on, I keep saying I should do the same. Then never do. Definitely easier to try and convince you to start a cottage industry!

Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:like I would ever have any left to sell!! ;)

You should take it up T....it's very cost effective (especially when you drink as much as I do!! :o) if you start with one of the 5 gallon wine kits that are ready in 7 days it will help....I like having quick wine that, although not really fab, are perfectly drinkable and give you the feeling of achievement in a short space of time :D Then you can start on making more interesting stuff that takes longer......

Tomorrow I will be starting the 'poor mans brandy'....it takes about 3-4 years before its drinkable, but I am intending to make it now and then have it for my 'having no debts in the world' celebrations!! ;) If the weather is right tomorrow, I am also going to make some elderflower cordial and perhaps some elderflower wine....although it depends on what equipment I have left as I tried to buy another fermenting bucket today and my usual supplier didn't have any :( Oh well, I will get one during the week and perhaps even two!!;)

This month has been a bit of a bust financially, I am going away in a fortnight for the weekend and also have a friend staying next weekend, but will put all I can to the mortgage once I have covered these expenses....not too worried about it - I wasn't expecting to have additional hours until July, so all my calculations are based on starting the big mortgage pay off from next month - nothing lost and a bit of a splurge is good for the soul!! :D;)

    Have a fab weekend!! :D

  • Mahoosive bargain just found!! Decided to have a look around the wine-making sites to check out prices for fermentation bins and discovered that t*sco direct have a home-brew bit on there....got myself 6 boxes of 7 day, 30 bottle chardonnay for £48!!!:j I normally spend about £22-£23 per box for these so am absolutely over the moon!!!:D:D:D Should keep me going for a while and will see me through the long wait before my 'proper' stuff is ready! ;)
I may well buy some more if they are at the same price when I get paid and put a couple to one side for the solstice period....

On the 'not so great' side of things....I have had a look at the MFiT -T3 spread sheet this morning and am firmly in the red :( However, I have had the period of unemployment so shouldn't be too surprised....I will hopefully be in the green by either the next update in September or the last one this year in December....although buying all these wine kits isn't helping the cause!!:o:rotfl:

Need to do a menu plan for the week today....I think that my stocks are starting to run a little low now so it may have to be quite an inventive week! :D

    Happy Saturday! :D

  • Didn't get anything done yesterday :o....had a pj day instead as the weather was pretty poo and I had a few things on the box to catch up with! ;)

I have just realised that I have one week left before payday and then the 'mortgage murdering in earnest' begins!! :D I have to clear the credit card (put a bit on it for dh's birthday and the family visit) and then every penny that is in my possession will only be spent after very careful consideration! ;)

I have a busy couple of weekends ahead so I really need to get meal plans and shopping lists for July organised today!! I need to do another cupboard and freezer inventory as I have used quite a bit from them recently, I have no idea what I have left so this menu plan may take a while!! :rotfl:

Happy Sunday and Happy Fathers day to all the dads out there!! :D

  • Been reading this diary over the last few days. Impressed by your dedication! It will be gone very soon at this rate. Great effort! Your ability in the kitchen makes me jealous too!

Thanks Struggling...that's very kind of you to say!!:D

Paid another £40 today....total for June now standing at £1520.....July will be the first month of the big OP's so really looking forward to that!!:D

I am becoming increasingly convinced that my job will become permanent and also remain on full time hours but can't count my chickens yet!! ;) However, I am starting the countdown from July onwards...18 months to mortgage freedom - if it does stay like this, there is absolutely no reason at all that I won't be able to achieve it (and if it does stay like this, I am planning on shaving another month off it!!:rotfl:) if things change, I will revise my plans, but may as well look on the bright side!!;)

Not much else to report at the moment....working lots, snoozing whenever I have the opportunity and trying to save money!! Life is good!!:D

  • It's been a crazily busy week!! In all honesty, I am really exhausted....I haven't slept much over the past two weeks, the last two weekends have been really enjoyable but manic and during the week I have been working all hours so have had absolutely no down-time at all....decision made...this weekend is going to be dedicated to slobbing heavily! :D :rotfl:

Mortgage wise, the countdown starts here!:j

Circumstances permitting, I am 18 months or 78 weeks away from being mortgage free :D I have been completely off the ball with the whole MF stuff over the past couple of weeks due to the pre-booked weekend expenditures and being so busy at work, but I looked at the mortgage figures today and I have sort of hit my first major milestone - sub 36k!!! :j:j:j

It's only 'sort of' as the mortgage interest will bring it back up again prior to my next payment to the mortgage but seeing the figures has really kicked me into action again!! ;):D I am absolutely over the moon that I have hit it and will hopefully be under 35k by the end of this month!! Woohoo!!! _party_:dance:

Happy Friday everyone.....off to get some sleep!! ;)
