Good Luck with your savings
Maybe you should jot down all your income and outgoings and see what areas you can save on?

I am really glad you both enjoyed it0 -
Well the pasta got finished off yesterday...and I wanted to get my free pizza today from that Goodefellas voucher. But the Tescos freezer was broken and there were no pizzas! So tonight I am having jacket potato with grated cheese and probably chilli powder
I microwave them for about 5 minutes, having pushed a knife through it a few times, then pop in the oven at high heat for about 10-15 mins.

I thought I should add some more info to this thread about how I save money in other ways. I will add to this list as I remember other things I do
Just as a reminder I only work part time.I use the Mooncup which equals no expense at all on sanitary items.
I use Oxi balls to do my washing with a little Stardrops and fabric conditioner.
I walk almost everywhere.
I get my hair cut through the local college or completely free through mystery shops.
I collect freebies! Soap and toothpaste especially
I aim to never ever buy something full price!!!
I use Topcashback for online purchases
I have every type of reward card!
I never spend over £10 on a single piece of clothing or shoes.
I stock up on essentials using value ranges i.e. pasta, rice...
I minimise waste by freezing whatever can be frozen, especially bread!
I use an eye lash curler and let my eye lashes grow long naturallyno mascara destroying them

I'm really enjoying reading your diary. I bought the ingrediants needed for your pasta bake which I am going to cook in the week. I have a vat of homemade veggie soup to eat first though.
Keep up the good work!:jOverdraft = Gone!! (24/6/11)

Aw thank you
it is really encouraging being able to help others at the same time. Will hopefully be making lasagne this week and will post recipe for that
although I do need to use up the other half of the cream cheese so will have a think!

but tonight I made a huge pan of sweet chilli jam from the River Cottage website. Great recipe and I used tomatoes and chilli's from the garden. The red wine vinegar is only about 60p from Tescos
I would like to add this is so tasty on that pasta...or any pasta I am sure!!!
Any ideas about cheapest place to buy my red wine for next weeks lasagne? I did see a small bottle of red wine for cooking in Nisa for £1.50?
Tesco have a 25cl carton of value Spanish red wine for £1.25, if you didnt use it all you could freeze what was left to use another time.
the chilli jam sounds lovely, will have a try of that,Ive got loads of tomatoes and chillies from the garden in the freezer, thank you0 -
Lunch and dinner for 30p today!
