Competitions Discussion Thread Part 15

Hi All

im new to the whole competition thing just started doing them last week and i had my first win on Saturday on the Heinz 12 days of Christmas comp and a won a squeezy tomato bottle

still finding the forum a bit confusing as theres so many different threads and competitions.

does anyone have any advice for a newbie??

Welcome cheekyboo, in case you're looking for it later this thread will get moved to the Competition Discussion 'sticky' at the top of the board when a Board Guide spots it because you have posted on the main board which is for competitions only. Hope you have some nice wins.

Hello all,
just wondering if someone could help me- i have noticed on a few posters stats thing that comes up on the left of thier post that they have been thanked in more posts than they have actually posted (eg 'posts 3000, thanked 6000 times in 3050 posts'. i've been scratching my head trying to work out how that could be and i just can't work it out! but then again i'm not very clever. if someone could tell me, i would appreciate it very much- it's not importnant but it's really annoying me now!!!

Only thing I can think is they deleted a lot of very old posts to tidy up a bit, perhaps the posts were deleted and the stats got confused?

Hi egg...the higher posts is the ones that was actually posted and the other is only the ones thanked for such as; although they posted a certain ammount of posts, not every post would have been thanked (IYSWIM )

i'm not sure the last post (wingobins) explains it though, as i'm talking about people being thanked in more posts than they have posted, eg 'total posts 20, thanked X amount of times in 25 posts' ??!!!

I'd say it's just the member deleting posts.Some do this quite a bit.
