If not can someone point me in the direction where questions can be answered. Like i said, i am new to this site and just finding my feet. Thanks.
Ignore the other posters rudeness.
3000 clubcard points converts to 720 miles. Enough to get you a European flight but not to New York. You can get a flight to Newark NY from Heathrow for 1700 miles in February (see airmiles.co.uk) but you would be looking at about 3700 miles (not points) in June. Remember you will still have to pay various taxes - this is about £180 for flights to New York!
As a comparison you can get a June flight Gatwick - JFK for around £340 inclusive of taxes (Opodo) and could probably do better if you shopped around. So you save £160 by using airmiles - but it costs you about £150 worth of clubcard vouchers to get those airmiles.
I personally don't think converting points to airmiles is the best use of them however each to their own.
You could boost you airmiles by getting a credit card (sign up bonus of 200 -500 air miles - again see airmiles website).
There is also an interesting thread on collecting BMI Diamond Club points that is worth investigating if you are set on getting to the USA.

My clubcard vouchers arrived this morning so if yours haven't arrived they should be with you soon.0

I have been sent an Email advising that there are over 50 new Clubcard deals to chose from.
Don't forget to check that the deal you are saving for is still available (eg MFI) as some get discontinued.

I've just took delivery of my single value matresses & they seem reasonable.
The delivery drivers are very good & put bag things on their feet when they come in, much respect for the respect.
If you've done 2 orders in different names do ask if they have another of your items on board as they were just going to deliver 1 until I said I had another one due today but different name. They found the other on board.
Quick though if you're ordering anything as the Tesco Direct codes expire today.0 -

Re: Clubcard into Airmiles.
When we looked at using our vouchers for a holiday or Airmiles, we found that to convert the vouchers into Airmiles, plus the taxes meant we would get less than face value - that is that they would be worth less thn if we took them into Tesco and used them for groceries. Personally I would not bother with converting them. Get a brochure for NY from Virgin or Cosmos and use the vouchers to pay for your flight plus the cheapest possible accomodation and do not stay in the accomodation. For example, looking for a holiday last night, to stay in a cheap hotel in Florida for 2 weeks costs just £30 more PP then the cost of the flight alone - you cannot buy the flights with vouchers - so at least this way you would get the 4x value of the vouhers.
Hope this helps.0 -
Awwww thank you for replying. I sort of get it......i understand now that the airmiles aren't worth it but not quite sure how the vouchers would pay for a holiday if you see what i mean. As i am fairly new to the vouchers i am still finding my feet.
The only thing i have used them for is chessington and xmas groceries...........i still have 1200 points left from then ha ha

Take a look at the Virgin and/or Cosmos brochures for where you want to go. If you have 1200 points that's equal to £12 instore or £48 off a Virgin / Cosmos holiday.
I'm saving to go to Las Vegas this year and if you can use grocery shopping codes from here you will find you can accrue rather a lot of extra points!MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

MFI UPDATE
MFI are only accepting vouchers until the end of March 2007. Note that at present there is 20% off kitchens and appliances. Clubcard Deals Vouchers are worth the same amount as cash and you get the 20% off too!
You will also find that their sales persons will also give you extra discount on top of this too. I have just ordered an oven, hob and extractor, had the 20% off and had an extra £120 off too...0
