  • Hi there, i am new here and i was wondering about clubcard codes and airmiles. Basically i have read that for 3000 points you can get a return flight to NYC. Now if we were to use codes that give you 500 points a couple of times a month......does that mean about six months down the line we'll have enough for two flights????? Surely it cant be that easy?

Ok so I am confused now..........isn't this thread the Discussion thread???

If not can someone point me in the direction where questions can be answered. Like i said, i am new to this site and just finding my feet. Thanks.

I've just completed a survey emailed to me by TNS on the subject of online grocery shopping with Tesco.

There is a section for your comments.

    I said:
Far too many carrier bags with only one item in

I resented not being credited with "green" clubcard points for returning carrier bags to the driver

I resent being expected to pay the higher price for a more expensive substituted product, because Tesco can't get their stock levels right

I resent paying a delivery fee, especially when Iceland can do it free when you spend £25 or more, and in any event, why should it be more expensive at weekends.

And finally, and most importantly to this thread, I said I only use Tesco.com to boost my clubcard point total by using e-vouchers, and that these seem to have all but dried up resent. Given that in terms of quality and product range, Asda and Tesco are on a par, and that Asda are generally cheaper, more and more of my custom is going to Asda.

Whether they listen and/or act upon the last point remains to be seen of course, but at least I've made my point!!

I don't know anything about air miles but, if you can get the codes, its easy to get 3,000 points. At the moment there is only the 500 pointer (see codes thread or sites like paidtoshop or loyalty-points), so you'd need to have an account in hubby's name to use it again but in the past there have been 1000 point grocery codes.
But you don't need grocery points to get your 3000 points, why not stock up on wine? There's usually a 1000 point code for a £50 spend about, if you're quick there's a tescos direct code that runs out on the 14th for 1000 points with £50 spent. So for £110 (inc delivery) you've got yourself some new bits and bobs for the house, lots of wine and 2/3 of your target points.

Aren't 0845 local rate anyway? It's the 0870 numbers that are the expensive ones.... someone correct me if I'm wrong.
