    Hi hes

Check with Royal Mail? Complain to them?If she is tellin the truth - and I say if - then it must have been switched by someone in Royal mail?

    OR
Did she open parcel personally? IF not could someone she knows have switched it before she saw it?

    Hi V

I've asked her to confirm that she personally accepted delivery of this item (it was sent fully insured via next day special delivery) and also to confirm that the packaging had not been tampered with.

I'm beginning to think I am going mad. This has really upset me as I know that I sold a brand new and unused phone and feel sure that I am going to end up being stitched up over this

i think shes trying it on, i would go with what others have said, ask her to send the phone back, or ask for a couple of the numbers on the phone. surely she knows what type of phones she has bought, ie what each one looks like, so she should know which is yours and which is the other persons.

can you contact the other seller aswell, just to find out if they have had any problems with them
Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!

Definately trying it on. Tell her to accept the phone as it is, leave you feedback and you will then do the same. Explain that unless this is done you will report the phone as stolen (quoting the imei from your receipt)

can you post their ebay username? as someone on here may be able to spot something that you have not.

Do not give in on this one!!

  • I had a ebayer buy something from me last week while I was on holiday and when I came back they had left me feedback saying how good it was, but I hadn't even sent it out as they hadn't paid (have sent it now as they have paid since then) but what I am saying is that it is possible that they are confusing your phone with the other one they have bought and are now trying it on, so stick to your guns as you have all the paperwork for the phone and sent by trackable means. Is the other phone similar to the one you sent and ask them for the imei number from that one.

Well - I'm in more of muddle now

This person sold a mobile in November and got good feedback - item no. 150023953011

However, although listings before and after that date are viewable, Ebay has removed this particular listing. I've emailed the other party and asked if they would let me know if there was a problem (explained briefly my problem) - but don't hold out much hope of a reply

Send them another message give them the make of the phone you sold them (I know they can easily find this info by clicking on the item number but they may be really dim) tell them to make sure they are looking at the correct phone as you are aware they have purchased another flip phone recently. Explain that you have the receipt with IMEI number on it and that there is no possible way that they received a different phone from you.

The reason that this does not show is because the phone was sold on Sept 18th, but the buyer did not leave feedback until Nov.

As I said earlier, if they can return the phone with the matching imei in the original box, then you can claim for damage from RM.

But somehow I doubt this will happen.

The phone could have got damaged in transit but the box would be damaged too.

Email her explaining that you think she is mistaken, send her the link to this topic and tell her to get back to you.

  • Perhaps the buyer has simply got confused i.e he/she thinks that the phone they are talking about is the one that you sold them when in fact it's the other sellers. Have you suggested this possible scenario to the buyer?

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.
  • Ask the buyer to send some pics of the phone and then you can see if it's the one you have sent them, don't usually upgrade phones come in blister packs.
