Sorry you didn't have any luck, but I even asked the guy on the Tech & Phone desk how many he had out the back and he said 'Oh, a fair few'.
I actually posted while I was still in the store on the chilled section getting some bacon, so it was instant info.

I very nearly just walked away when it scanned up at £529, but the chap said the demo box had a different barcode on it to the regular stock. He was surprised when it flashed up at £149 though.

I bought it just over 2 hours ago, and one other MSE'er has got one (as posted here), so if you are in the Portsmouth area then it might well be worth popping in in person.
It depends on how badly you want one and how much effort you want to expend.

Phoning might not be the best option as mentioned.

    Good luck.
    xx

    /Edit/
Obviously, I can't guarantee that the staff haven't nabbed them!

    just phoned:

    Crasswell Street
    Portsmouth: None in stock

    north end: none

    chichester: none in stock

    bournmouth: del thurs

southampton: burseldon rd were showing 3 but when phoned through to store none

North end: do not stock it so the post over on hudk must have meant north harbour

havant: none was told last night will get a delivery next week just been told by cs they do not stock it.

at 2:30 pm went to north harbour after phoning and being told none in stock, went to electrical was told to speak to phone department, so walked across said a friend has been in aprox an hour ago and got a samsung galaxy tab and the gent said they had loads out back, she smirked and said all sold out.

Me thinks staff perks of the job i guess.

Hi. I was informed that some of the accessories for the Galaxy have been reduced too. Has anybody seen any of these on their travels?

I'm told (though haven't managed to buy any as no stock) that the screen protector is £0.01, the USB cable £0.50 and dock £0.50 ....

I bought the Galaxy Tab yesterday but the staff members did not tell me about the accessories on offer ...

Think we must have a lurker in E**tbourne! I tried our big store last week for the bargain electricals and was lucky to get an HP laptop (last one) when a nice Techguy checked out the back. Nothing else was available from the list. I wasn't after the Galaxy tab but decided to stop by today and see if anything else had gone down but bumped into my friendly techguy who informed me that someone came in this morning and took all the Galaxy stock (and the cases at 50p)! A trolley full - a large quantity, before the staff even had a chance to get one! So that tells me, this person is loaded and too selfish to post on here since the people from E**tbourne on here who have contacted me have not been able to get a single bargain from that store, not even the batteries which have been cleared too!
My thoughst on this? Well don't buy one from Ebay if the sender is in E**tbourne and if anyone finds something interesting they would like and they are local to me, PM before posting on here and I'll dash off and get it if I can!
All this because of the nice people who post (not lurk) on here helped me to get a Xmas present for my son which I would not have been able to afford otherwise!

I thought they had a policy of 2 per customer?

That's what I got told yesterday.

daft question but they said at the electrical desk it couldn't be returned if the seal was broken, is this true, i thought you had 14 day change your mind policy (not that i want to return it, just that the OH doesn't know about it ....yet!)

I got one yesterday (seal in tact) and was told it was 10 days. OH was very happy but DS said he'd love one! Was VERY lucky when I tried at a local store today. At first I was told that they didn't stock them anymore as they were discountinued but then he said to wait a minute. Sure enough, he came back with a box. He said that it was open but as it didn't have ex-display on it, I could have it if it scanned. I asked if I could return it if my DS didn't want it as the seal was broke. He said yes, providing it was within 28 days, after that I would have to go thro' the electrical line.

Got the last 2 in Muss3lburgh tonight. One for myself and one for OH's christmas. They has one on display at Tesco Home store in Kinn4ird P4rk (tried there before Muss3lburgh) but they refused to sell it.
  • Someone mentioned that N3wt0nbr3d4 was OOS. Stores must make things up at times because wee manager guy I asked said they didn't stock them, all stock had been sent to Cr41gav0n when they opened. Also, when I had asked about cheap netbooks/laptops last week was told they had none in but same manager told me that they had sold out very quickly!

HTH folks in cr41gav0n area BTW.
