  • Chop an onion, crush some garlic if you like, heat in a pan with some oil and cook until softened. Add a tin of chopped tomatoes, a squidge of tomato puree and some herbs. Let it cook for about ten minutes or so (while the pasta cooks).
    If you prefer it smooth, just stick it in the blender!

    I've got tomato puree, tinned chopped tomatoes and lots of dried herbs so has anyone got any ideas PWEASE ??? :o

    I have made it without garlic before and it still tasted nice, few extra herbs seemed to help. Have you got any dried garlic or garlic salt? I keep dried garlic just incase I run out.
    One day I might be more organised...........:confused:

    I've got no garlic of any kind - just checked my cupboards to be sure :o

    Hi Mics_chick,

    As lil_me has said a stock cube will help the flavour and if you have basil, it goes really well in tomato sauces.
