What's the most number of vouchers you've used at once??

  • As I'm just trying to amass points, I've only got 2 x money off coupons that are not store specific. I will have to buy the products with the other store specfic MOCs and points vouchers although some are duplicates which could be a problem with some SAs, it's more the embarassment factor of handing a huge wad and holding up the queue...........I need a thicker skin!!!
  • Feeling the mad rush to use some h&b vouchers this morning early, and usually my regular Sa is there. I shopped and bought

£20 worth of toiletries, 10 cans of slimfast, a newspaper and an innocent smoothie.

    I hand over 10 x 50 point vouchers, 2 x £2.50 vouchers, £1.00 healthcare, £2 healthcare, £1 inside out voucher, 4 x £1.00 vouchers

which is 19 vouchers, my regular sa had visited the loo and a male cashier looked and called the supervisor.

He said he has never scanned so many vouchers and was it OK - she said that if I hadn't bought the items they wouldn't scan so the Sa scanned everything and I paid 35p. The supervisor was very impressed with my bargains too

I wouldn't normally have handed so many but thought my regular was there and she is quite obliging and has been for months.

  • I used £62 in one go at Waitrose over Xmas:o Did make sure that they were mainly £5 vouchers (Daz) as I hate handing over millions of them. Next week I have £28 to spend in Waitrose-they dont mind at our local branch but will normally only accept 50% of vouchers to shopping(can get away with more sometimes)...but no problem...£56 worth of food for £28:D I will stock up with some meat, fish and poultry for the freezer.

Today I used £16 luncheon vouchers in Morrisons. Weeks shopping £20.00

other posters on other threads have mentioned being banned for using too many coupons (I mean LOADS) off one shop, in one case OP paid for two £100 plus shops and then had letter for manager trying to get them to pay cash for it.
This sort of thing has made me afraid to go too far......QUOTE]

Do bear in mind though, that there is no comparison between using legitimate coupons (well maybe with the odd £5 Asda Nicotinell in the batch! ;) ) and using an entire wad of Somerfield coupons at Tesco. The latter is what the OP used in the case you mention (in bold, above).

So don't panic, but please everyone, don't use wads of coupons you know Tesco won't be able to redeem. That could get you banned if discovered, IMHO, whereas the odd Asda coupon could be put down to an oversight.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I still have a load of somerfield ones left and there are some that won't scan as tesco don't seem to stock that particular whisky but generally I have managed to use a load of them. I do mix them up with other coupons aswell.

The Tesco Vouchers I had (post #18) were just club card vouchers

  • Before Christmas I used a big bundle of the Sainbury "Tu" £5 in Tesco and was really pleased with myself. That was until some people on here pointed out that what I had done may cause the store to clamp down on coupon usage and that the cashier may have got into trouble.

I had not thought it through at all, now I just use a couple at a time.
