What's the most number of vouchers you've used at once??

The title says it all really!!
I have quite a few extra point coupons as well as some money off ones, and I'm desperately trying to maximise my points in my next shop before the cut off date. Do you think it's very cheeky to hand over a large wad of vouchers or should I make two shopping trips in order to split them up???
Thanks for any forthcoming advice!!!!

Not cheeky at all - if they give vouchers out they have to expect people to use them!0

I have handed over a massive wedge, back with hardly trained Christmas temps, but I find its best to hand them over a few at a time. Always start with the big ones as often they will only accept a certain number of coupons and if you have handed over 10 at 20p and you could have used 10 at a £1, you will really kick yourself.

I hand over between 5 and 20 depending on what I have bought - I do a quick count of the amount the bill should be and try to get as many vouchers through as possible. Today's shop went down from £20 to just under £2... sometimes I get even more off than that.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

I usually hand over six or seven at Tesco (in stores where I think they usually take five) in the hope that the cashier might take them all, or if they turn any down (e.g. non-scanners) I still get my 5 scanned without holding up the queue.
Like halojones, I handed over a massive wedge (over £50-worth) to a nice young lad at Christmas and he proceded to scan the lot, even though I said 'that's enough, I'll pay the balance now...' 'No that's OK' he said, 'I scanned £150 for someone the other day'!
But if it's points ones you should be OK to hand over loads because you have to have bought the item for them to work anyway (usually
).
The only exception is with the H&B coupons. Sometimes it's best to split your shopping if you want to use loads of these (all the same) just in case your cashier decides only to accept one of each type (even the 50 points ones which will usually scan and scan for every £2 spent!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I got my shopping down from £18 to £6 the CO kept asking if I had more. She said the till would tell her when to stop. I bottled it & paid the rest.
I have only done this once as I dont like to push it & spoil it for other people or get the CO in to trouble.
I might add she was an elderly lady & I didnt think she would take any.
Anyone got any good tips on where to get coupons as Im nearly out now0 -
I have 6 x £4 vouchers that I got from the Daily Mail. Could I use all of these in one shop?

I wouldn't have the courage to use more than 2 of these, and I pick my SA carefully, as the checkout supervisors won't accept them normally!!!!0 -
The Tesco's till will let the assistant do 48x 'coupon' and my christmas temp did this, after prompting, so I didnt even hold every one up to much. I hate when the next shopper starts staring daggers at you and even making comments.Amazon Sellers Club Member Number 52

other posters on other threads have mentioned being banned for using too many coupons (I mean LOADS) off one shop, in one case OP paid for two £100 plus shops and then had letter for manager trying to get them to pay cash for it.
This sort of thing has made me afraid to go too far, so bearing in mind the difficulty of getting coupons accepted in my area ( 1 tescos and asda refuse any unless product bought, other tescos vary but not keen ) so i will never use more than 20 per cent off my shopping. I dont really think it matters if this is in lots of little ones or one big one, unless you have a crabby checkout person . At the moment, havent got any anyway! Bring back Harpers Bazaar!0
