Welcome Ghostmadlittlemiss! You'll find we're all very friendly!
Woken at dark o clock by a little boy telling me he'd NOT wet the bed - yipee. Then he wandered around turning all the lights on, which in turn woke the puppy. So I got up and sorted through the piles of ironing I did yesterday - put the kids, OH's and airing cupboard stuff away, mine is still on my bed waiting for me to sort through later!! Had to do it all very quickly as DS2 then decided he was going to be independent and make his own packed lunch - nooooooooooo so I stepped in. Washing on line, and more in WM, taking the car for a service today - so will have some time sitting in their show room reading my book!
All systems go when I get home though - have double booked myself for tomorrow night so need to get my ducks in a line and sort it all out today. Had something pressing to do today - but can't remember what it was! Oh well. Hugs to those in need.Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -

Morning all, before and after!
Yesterday was a lovely, peaceful day of rest. It would have been lovelier if I hadn't spent most of it on the sofa wrapped round a hot water bottle trying to chase away nasty cramps but there you go!
The DW's on this morning and I'm thinking about breakfast as I wait for the painkillers to take effect so I can get done what I need to get done. A trip to a supermarket (not decided which one as list is still in head and not mysupermarket), a couple of phone calls, tidy house in case I'm well enough tomorrow for cleaner to come, do FlyLady list to Level 1 (minimum). And if I get all that done I'll be curling up on that sofa once again!
Have a good, OS day today.Household: Laura + William-cat

Morning everyone
Overcast and cooler here today. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock.
Had a reasonably busy weekend, and DH now finished his term as Chairman of the caravan club centre we belong to. Not sure what we're having for dinner tonight, possibly stop off at the supermarket on the way home from work to pick something up possibly sausages then have mash, veg and gravy.
Boys gone to school but both have rugby training after. Eldest has training again tomorrow night too.
I should be working at the other office today but due to staff shortages I've got to go the local office today and Wednesday and to the other office tomorrow. Have to remember where I'm supposed to be and when!!
Going to colleagues funeral on Thursday it seems like there will be a good representation of work colleagues there to say their goodbyes. Must go and get ready for work now.
Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

Good morning everyone
I'm claiming all the hugs from those who have offered them as I think I need them.
I've called in sick today and feel guilty and terrible about it. I haven't felt right for a while, the last few days of last week I kept having really strong dizzy spells, they went away over the weekend but then were back with a vengeance this morning (had to sit down in the shower as dizziness was so strong). My asthma is also really bad at night and I feel all tearful and just horrid.
I don't know what's wrong with me, and to top it all off OH is away in the US on business this week so I'm on my own. I don't think I did myself any favours by not really having a rest at the weekend. But it's not normal to feel dizzy all the time and keep dissolving into tears for no good reason is it?
Anyway. To keep vaguely on OS topic. Whilst at home today I might use the time to do a mammoth menu plan for the rest of the month, I have so much meat in my freezer I don't think I'll need to buy any for weeks and weeks...and it always cheers me up to menu plan!0 -
BB - We previewed the single last week at the festival - it's an old band, Marmalade ?
HH - happy birthday to DS
Morning all!
Went to bed v. early last night, feeling refreshed today. Working till 6pm tonight, have the option of starting at 10 to make up for it, or i can add the extra hours to my time sheet. I think i want the money tbh.
OH's air con in his tractor has died, so have to leave pup at home. I'll come and see him at lunch time, also have a cheque to put into the bank.
Tuna and sweetcorn sarnies for lunch. I also had a bagel for breakfast - too many carbs, i will for sure have put on 2lbs tomorrow!
Bins are out, bedding in on the line and i'm hoping that the wash in the machine will finish shortly so i can put it out before i go to work. Then stick another load in at lunch time.
Need to dry my hair, and then i'm ready for work!
Have a lovely day all

Not a lot happening here today, just the usual cleaning, been slacking recently so got to get back into it, think its because I've had DH home with me....I really do need to keep motivated.
Not done a menu plan this week either.. for dinner tonight it will be Cheese & potato pie
Hope everyone has a lovely day..... xOctober grocery Challenge

Hi everyone; it's really warm and sunny again here, so plenty of washing in the machine to make the most of the good drying weather.
Welcome to Ghostmadlittlemiss - interesting name!
Hilstep - have a fantastic time!
Daisyegg - make sure you see your doctor. Your asthma might be preventing you from getting enough oxygen into your system, so he may want to change your inhalers or something. Don't leave it - especially if it's affecting your sleep, which will make you feel tired and tearful. Don't feel guilty about not working, either. Your health is more important than anything else.
Bramble1 - I love Marmalade. They did a song many summers ago called 'Reflections of my Life', one of my all time favourites. They originally called themselves the Gaylords, believe it or not!
Well, dinner tonight is the roast I should have done last night, but we had a lazy afternoon with visitors, eating cake and drinking tea, and I didn't feel like cooking once they'd gone, so we had beans on toast!
The good weather here is forecast to last until Friday, fingers crossed.
Well, I hope you all have a good day, and lots of hugs to those in need.

looks like the last warm day today! not too worried cos I love wearing my winter clothes and am keen to wear my new red boots:D although I'll soon be grumbling when my Reynauds plays up!
Off to work soon, just having some peanut butter on toast. Am defrosting some HM Quorn cottage pie for tea.
DH went back to work this morning after his 2 weeks holiday - was up at 2am:eek: his company have put their milk up by 3p a pint so no doubt there'll be a few cancellations.
Welcome to the new faces:wave::)
Daisyegg - get to the docs! x
Mum's coming up tomorrow for a few days:T be nice to see her, then she's going back to Devon but coming up again in a couple of weeks as its her 70th birthday!:) which coincides with our cousins 40th so big family celebrations ahead!
I've got DH to print off a lovely photo of Mum and my 2 lads in black and white - just need a frame to put it in now, also bought her a lovely Cornish made letter opener. My sister and I are taking her out to lunch on the big day at a posh local pub.
