I will second Aldi's own brand washing up liquid, I bought a bottle 2 months ago and it's still half full! Also toilet rolls I bought 12 from B&M bargains on thursday for £1.99 and it feels really good quality.

It's called Magnum and OH particularly likes the Aloe Vera one :rotfl:Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

Another vote for Aldi's Magnum - from a now converted Fairy user. Does as good a job, you need a tiny amount and it's cheaper."Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0

Aldi Magnum Original for me. It is really thick, you really only need a couple of drops. Excellent value. In fact I like most of Aldi's stuff. Ketchup is just as good as Heinz and their fresh orange juice (from the fridge) is delicious. I seldon go to Sainsbury's now, I do almost all of my shopping at Aldi.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

i love home bargains, but i'm also a lidl convert - their liquid handsoap is fab, in fact most of their toiletries are as good if not better than branded ones.
i wash my worktops down with very hot water, washing up liquid and a dash of bleach - not harmed mine. i done use any anti bac sprays, maybe in a commercial kitchen you need them but not at home. i also soak my washing up brushes and sponges in this.'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0 -
I have swapped to fairy and find it's saved me a fortune. I buy it on offer and always decant it into a soap despenser and we use so much less, and get better results! I think I bought 3 for £3 twice this year and still have 2 1/2 bottles left... and we wash up daily!
Loo roll, I found using more expensive brands when on offer and bulk buying is the best way to save money. Whenever I use the cheap stuff I get fed up of my hand going through and end up using loads!!! we used to use 9 springforce a week and now use 3 Triple velvet or 3.5 Cushelle a week! Buying 16 or 24 packs of cushelle saves a fortune!
Cleaner - We use Bleach for the loo, basic cream cleaner for the ceramics and star drops...! Windows vinigar and water...We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
i wish i had an aldi sometimes
i have a dishwasher so really only use washing up liquid for cleaning the tops and cooker ect, i buy fairy when on offer or tesco discount brand
i use value cream cleaner, bleach, rubber gloves, sponges and i use ownbrand anti-bac for my diningroom table or detol if on offer, i use vale or lidl diswasher tablets (i use these in my mop bucket for my floors aswell) and for laundry liquid i buy in bulk in makro when on bogof, really all my cleaning stuff costs about £30 a year
toiletroll i buy on bogof in makro aswell you can get 48 crushell for about £12 that way but i have no room to store loads so i'm always on the look out for some on offer if we run out before i find some i buy value or lidl do 10 for about £2 but it's not the nicest but really if your buying expensive stuff for flushing money down the toilet
and i freezer pretty much all food except pastaDEC GC £463.67/£450
