My DD has been drooling over the Boots Christmas catalogue since we picked one up at the weekend. Correction: we picked up three copies as she always likes to cut out what she would like for Christmas and stick them on her list...it keeps her quiet for hours. So I had to say in a loud voice "Oh, lets pick one up for Grandma!" as they were right under the nose of the cashier. But then she dropped me in it as 9 yr olds do as she said loudly "Grandma won't want one of these" ...dont you just love their tactfullness in these situations!
She is so sweet she just wants a few lipbalms and some hello kitty stuff, she says she is not interested in a big present from santa. She just loves fiddly bits and pieces, tiny lipglosses, purses etc. Can't think where she gets it from!
Anyway I have nearly £50 of points from the last year accumulated so that should sort out the majority of her Christmas list! Yay!!
Only one "In" recently and that was a freeby (sort of) I subscribed to Marie Claire for £6 and got 3 BS freebies (all Vit C stuff) Havent tried the face scrub or roll on under eye thingy yet but they had a Vit C powder serum which I wasnt impressed with on the first day as it was so runny but after 3 days of using it I must admit my skin does look a lot "brighter" ....maybe it is working after all!
Im chuffed with myself that I am restraining myself from the latest BS offers. (for now!)0 -
Quiet on here today...are you all down BS?
Another UU Lush Flying Fox, love this so will be buying again at some point soonish I expect. Been busy sorting everything house related and currently trying to make myself finishing packing ready for actually moving in on Saturday. Looks like I may have a couple more UU by then, providing I get time to beautify myself that is:)Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
*failed* haha! in the last few days i've found two lots of cheap shower gel (40p/50p/46p a bottle) so i have stocked up! but can you blame me at that price?! hehe!.....and some are being bought off me by my parents....
otherwise....I've been good!0 -
I've been trying the red fcuk glitch but although its working it's not working out as well as I thought it would
so took them back yesterday. Bought some more today but think I'll take it back as well.
I have 3 new INs - Imperial Leather shower gel, down to 40p and 25% off coupon down to 30p :j
1 almost OUT, Original Source scrub, WNBA disappointing not very scrubby and used up quickly
Also a new Colgate toothpaste IN but it was a freebie! :rotfl:Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
Who else has sorted through the boots catalogue and decided what they want to buy from the sales
?
Me! Me! Me! :rotfl::rotfl: I've also decided to splurge some of the vouchers I've been saving over the year to 'treat myself' (ie: buy for OH to give me) to the S&G £35 & £20 sets plus one of the No7 (& GWP) in the Points Evening. The S&G always goes quick here and there is never any left by the 50% off nevermind the 75% off so I don't feel like I'm wasting my cash - worked out I can get the 4 gifts I want for £60 plus £12 back in points :T So an average of £12 per gift if you include the GWP
Everyone elses gifts for next year are chosen though with backup's in case there's none left in the 75% sale :rotfl:Ideas for a 1 year old girl please for gifts.
What about something crafty - I know she's only one but, if the parents are the hands on type, it means once it's done it can be chucked out - ie: finger paints and an A3 pad? It's what my (nice) SIL asked for for her youngest as she had all the clothes/toys etc. Maybe an Apron to go with it - depending on how much you want to spend? She just loves fiddly bits and pieces, tiny lipglosses, purses etc. Can't think where she gets it from!
:rotfl::rotfl: Hmmm I wonder :rotfl::rotfl:
One last update on the whole Brother/SIL thing then no more mentions  Suffice to say when someone resorts to lies and threats of violence it makes it so much easier to cut them out of your life  *Big Sigh And Moving On*
Spent the afternoon shopping with my BFF - and while he succumbed to a snake venom wrinkle serum  I was very virtous and bought no toiletries :T (I did however buy 4 boxes of Pepperidge Farm Cookies:rotfl:)
Have a great Friday peeps :A :cool:0 -
Sadly I didn't get the job
Having said that it wasn't exactly my dream job - I really just wanted the security of a permanent job. My friend is probably the better person for it anyway!
In any case, I bought myself some 'consolation shoes'

I have 2 more outs. :j
Wilko's bath creme with i WBA as it smells nice, is cheap, doubles up as handwash and creates lots of bubbles.
S&G Butter me up that i WBA, i love the texture of this and the smell and it leaves my skin silky soft. I may be a little bit sad to see it go.
I now have a very annoyingly tiny amount of peppermint shower butter to use, hopefully i'll finish that tonight. I must remember not to wash delicate areas again with it. :eek:0 -

Hello!
Sorry to hear about the spiteful sister in law. Imagine being so eaten up with hatred. Being herself is punishment enough.
I've got some UUs to report:
Tigi brunette goddess shampoo. WIBA? Maybe. It smelled lovely, like toffee, and did the job but it is quite expensive and all you really want from a shampoo is something that smells nice and cleans your hair without stripping it. So I'm as happy with something that costs £2.
St Tropez everyday facial moisturiser. WIBA? Yes. It's good for taking the gruesome pallor off my face and means I don't have to wear foundation or tinted moisturiser. It also smells nice. Won't be buying more until I've used up stashed Vita Liberata and No 7 facial self tanners. The Boots one smells icky.
Diorissimo shower gel (pink candle moment). Not sure why I was saving this. It's gorgeous and encouraged me out of bed on the nasty dark mornings we've been having for the past couple of weeks. WIBA? I can't. Dior don't do shower gel/ soap/ body lotion for most of their perfumes any more. Even if they did you've got to ask yourself whether you'd pay £20 for shower gel!
Dior addict lipstick. It was a new one they brought out this year for summer, really glossy and light. It's lovely but I managed to use it up in 4 months because it's so soft. WIBA? Yes, but at £22 I don't necessarily want to be buying 3 a year!
Laroche Posay sample moisturiser (efflakar K for oily skin; had a go at this because in West Yorkshire we've spent the last week inside a cloud which has the lovely side effect of making straightened hair go berserk and making my skin oily because the air is so clammy). WNBA because it made my skin prickle and itch when I put it on. It didn't do a great job of mattifying either but I will cut it some slack because it was up against difficult conditions. I actually had to go out and buy hair straighteners for my desk drawer because the extreme Leeds fog and stealth raindrops took no notice of my humidity repelling conditioner/ keep it straight serum / humidity block hairspray and I looked demented by the time I had walked from the station to the office.
The thing I am desperate to use up is my Vaseline cocoa butter gel. Grease is the word. I've got through half of it and will be rejoicing when it is finished.
One OUT: Radox well-being scrub. It is rubbish. There are about 5 grains in the whole bottle and the smell is overpowering and not that nice. No wonder it was in Poundland. Will I never learn?
I hope the people who haven't been feeling great, soon feel better.0
