Phil THAT IS NOT YOU! :o:o:o:o

You are all the time online. You have no hobbies, you are NOT motivated and you make mountains out of molehills. And you still do as mummy says.

Phil in the City? Sorry hun, but I have to be cruel to be kind: You don't have what it takes. I know because I know a lot of how the City works ;)

Maybe but then when I feel nice and happy like I do today, I will be upto all they want.

I could never see myself in a city job as it goes.

They are narrow minded in the fristly as they wont look at you without ace school results.
I'm not saying there aren't prejudices or obstacles to overcome
-it helps if you've gone to right public school/University.

But you have to fight through it & most fall along the way.

There's a lot of competition for good/secure/highly paid jobs & it's easy to think that's all that counts (ie. that your face/school/Uni fits).

Q, you are one person that I class as very wise and bright and I think it raises an important question that the city does not employ clever people like you.

If you go to right school your grades are likely to be so much better, so the right school does help that is sure.

Why, thanks phil! After all the bashing I usually give you, it's very noble of you to pay me this compliment. I don't think I'm that clever. And anyway my personality traits are not compatible with work in a City environment. I'm a free spirit who prefers to be out and about, which is why I do market research. :)
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Q, you do come across as very intellegent and well read :) Intimidatingly so sometimes!
    Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.

I think it is very fair to say you are bright and wise.

But it does bring up the question of are these firms working on if your face and school fit or do they want the best people?

Who says a wise free spirit like yourself would not work wonders for a city firm rather than them just playing safe getting people who's faces fit?

Thanks feelie. I am well read because, well, I like reading. As for intelligent, I dunno really... :o . Oh not intimidating, no! *goes and hides*

Anyway this is a phil thread, not a Q thread... ;)

LOL phil I do not have the skills for City work! And frankly, it does not appeal to me. I'm not one for burnout anyway ;)
