Things change, friends move on, money gets tighter. It's time to re-assess this whole presents lark with the individuals concerned, in my opinion.0

Do you actually want to be friends with her?
Now I think of it no....Are you fond of her children?
I used to be very close to the eldest but over time we've drifted apart, kids have got older and people change I suppose.I would have said forget about birthdays and just do xmas pressies, everyone remembers xmas.
We don't do Xmas presents any more as friend 2 suggested it's an expensive time for everyone (she's got loads of relatives) and kids get quite a bit at Xmas anyway so we decided to just do Birthdays as you don't miss £10 here and there.0 -
