Shop saying can't have a refund the following day..??

    Can I ask why your brother bought another phone from a local markey without testing it, after the trouble he had with the last one? Can you explain the "once bitten twice shy" saying to him please, it will hold him in good stead for the future.

    Don't worry, i've told him.

    The first phone was bought from CEX. This was later sold.

    We have an indoor market here & he tried the phone store in there. Told it's unlocked, get it home & it isn't. I went with him yesterday & the guy tried blaming my brothers SIM card as being faulty. This isn't so. It works in other unlocked phones no problem. He asked for 10-15 minutes. No problem.
    10-15minutes later we return & the guy is asking if he can have it overnight so he can take it home & flash it.

    My brother was happy with that, but if it's not working today WITH HIS SIM IN IT then he wants a refund.


    Now, i've told him & told him. He should not be buying 2nd hand crap from stalls or shops or whatever. He's had a few problems with 2nd hand phones in the past. I've told him to save up & get a new phone that he likes, from a proper shop.
    But he's young & impatient ...... we've all been there!!
