Epson Stylus R200 Photo Printer £25.99 @ Boots

Had an e-mail from https://www.ukhotdeals.com to say this printer was on clearance @ Boots. Some people may not think it's not much of an offer but considering you can print directly onto CD/DVD dics's with this then i think it's a bargain.
I bought two (one for home and one for me mum) from Boots in London Colney and they have one left there.
After ringing around a few local Boots and having no luck i decided to ring they're head office where the very nice lady there checked the stock at the stores localish to me. They are not advertised online so if you want one you'll have to do some digging im afraid.
Even just as a printer i think it's good value especially as it's a photo printer too.
You get the ink cartridges, 3 samples of photo paper, software but no connecter cable for your PC im afraid.
I hope this helps anyone looking for something like this :j

I got an HP Photosmart 7450 for £22.49 yesterday in Boots. I had the Epson R200 and found it too particular about which photo paper I used.0

For best results with the Epson printers I found it better to use Epsons premium glossy photo paper as it provided very good results0

Thanks for the up. Managed to find last one in my local store.0

The compatible cartridges for the R200 are incredibly cheap. I've bought plenty from https://www.rambox.co.uk (full set of 6 colour cartridges by printrite £7.99, even cheaper if you buy in bulk from their special offers page) for use at work and they have been faultless.0

On http://www.discsexpress.com/ they are £5.99 and on http://www.ukdvdr.co.uk/shop/home.php they are £4.69Always looking for a bargain and to help0

I have an R200 and an R300, both of which use the same inks. Best prices and service I'd found for the compatible ones was https://www.inkemporium.co.uk. I can't remember where I picked up the site, I think it may have been on MSE.0

Great price. I have the R200 and it's the best printer I've ever owned."Whatever happened to string?"0

Great printer at a great price, prints onto DVDs as well, consider a CISS system for it and get the ultimate in cheap printing.Don't take life too seriously, no one gets out alive0

great stuff guys,
just gave head office a call like suggested and the guy there was very friendly and helpful....
be sure to ask them to search for 'PRINTER' and not 'Epson' or 'R200' because apparently their searching systems don't recognise the latter two.
He did a search for LONDON stores and said that their store near Oxford St (something like Cedric Place I think), High Street Kensington, Wimbledon, Richmond, Croydon were indicating that they stocked these printers although you need to call the stores directly to check.
I've been looking to get a budget printer for ages and with the added bonus of being able to print onto CD/DVDs, this one's a great deal.
I always use SVP for buying blank media also so now I can get printer cartridges from them too for a reasonable price.... all in all, very happy.:beer:0
