The compatible cartridges for the R200 are incredibly cheap. I've bought plenty from https://www.rambox.co.uk (full set of 6 colour cartridges by printrite £7.99, even cheaper if you buy in bulk from their special offers page) for use at work and they have been faultless.

Full set here for £4.69. My workmate used to send packs over to his dad over in Oz, as they worked out a lot more expensive over there!

Both the PSC 1350 and the Deskjet 7450 both use the HP 56/ 57 Carts, so should be pretty much the same. Its the PSC 14xx's that you want to avoid as they use the HP 21/22 5ml carts.

Don't expect to much from PSC's scanner though, but it does work great for doing photocoping.

Amazon have put the prices up on the HP 56's, but you can still get the twin pack for £20.89. When you consider you get 19ml of ink and a brand new print head they really aren't that expensive.

Because refilling carts will normally trash print heads over time, provided you haven't refilled them, you can get a quid or 2 for each empty HP cartridge on eBay.

For £28 quid the PSC1350 is a bargin, and it comes with full 'high capacity' HP 56/57 carts and not the 'standard capacity' HP27/28 or trial carts. So with the carts the printer itself will cost you less than a tenner. Tried my Canon today, it cleaned the heads when I turned it on, after I printed a page, and when I turned it off (still works though!). Where as my HP, just prints.

SVP now doing them again too.

    4.99 for a set of 6 or 14.25 for 3 packs ( 18 )

£1 post on orders over £30 at SVP this weekend.
The energizer rechargables are cheap as well. For a change, they seem to have good stock of everything.

Amancalledchip, what makes you think this weekend is a £1 postage for orders over £30 this weekend with SVP???????????????

I'm on their emailing list and I haven't received anything from them in the past 3 weeks.... have been waiting an age for another of their £1 postage weekends.

Can you post the code if you have it? thanks

The code is **I CAN'T TELL YOU BECAUSE CODES AREN'T ALLOWED HERE** :rotfl:

    99p shipping ends Midnight Sunday.

I've been waiting for this for a couple of weeks and 5 minutes after receiving the email on Thursday, I'd placed my order.

    The code ********** doesn't work!!!! Damn:confused::confused:
Place an order this weekend for over £30,
select ECONOMY COURIER or PARCEL COURIER
delivery option and use the coupon code: **********
    Did you select the Economy/Parcel?

(edited the code for political correctness reasons :rotfl: )
