HELP..Private parking ticket... legal proceedings?

On the 18/7 I was at work and my housemate borrowed my car, and subsequently got a ticket for not paying and displaying in a NCP car park.

My inital thought was to pay for the ticket straightaway- however it was 50.00 if i paid within 14 days, which made me stop and hesitate- that is alot of money! After further advice I decided to ignore my PCCN... And the letter addressed to me I received a month later (it had a header 'notice to KEEPER/DRIVER') which stated I now had to pay 100.

Then on the 8th of sept I had a final reminder of 100.00.

Last week I thought I had got away with it...... but :) this morning I have recieved a 'notice of legal proceedings' on pink paper again addressed to me of 125.00 (ICC services) and now Im getting pretty scared :(... it says 'please note the issue of legal proceedings may:

1. lead to a judgment being awarded against you which will affect your credit status
2. Lead to a warrant of executions for enforcement by the county court bailiff.

Im saving for a mortgage at the moment and do not want a bad credit rating and or bailiffs at my home? :(:(:(PLEASE HELP

Simply keep on ignoring. NCP have never ever taken anyone to court anyway.

Legally they're entitled to the cost of parking (one or two pounds at most), or zero if the driver paid but forgot to display.

Threatening junk mail from powerless debt collectors are par for the course when it comes to ignoring these phoney tickets.
  • Take a deep breath, and go back and read the stickies in this forum, and you'll know this is just the next link in the chain letter sequence they'll hit you with until they give up. If you read them, and the many, many threads just like this one, you'll know that they cannot send in the bailiffs and/or effect your credit rating without a victory in court (which won't happen becuase they won't take you to court, and even if they did, they would lose), and your refusing to pay at that stage.

    In summary: ignore the letters.

Alexis ... you know that is simply NOT true.

A parking company can recover the charges clearly displayed on the signage .. you know this toooo well as recently you assisted in a defence with all your usual mumbo-crap and your case failed.

I think what Alexis is trying to say is this ... NCP may not take you to court but if they do come back on here and he will assist you in your defence (or you could just see one of his defences in the case he lost recently here ) ... but when you lose the case it would have cost you lots more money that the original charge is

just put http in front of: combinedparkingsolutions.com/steele.html

Pity you haven't got better things to do, like a real job! Instead of praying on other people for a living!

Before you come back with your protecting peoples property, then why do they not get all the money people suckered into paying these invoices pay!
Don't tell me you have expenses, a portacabin, a laptop, a printer, don't cost that much!

You quote your silly wins whatever way you win, are you so forthcoming with how many people have you invoiced and they have ignored you?

Coffee sales must be down with the heat me thinks!!
  • Perky, like a bad smell you return with your usual mad pronouncements.

While you are here have you had any further thoughts on these 2 cases that the Courts Service has confirmed that your outfit Combined Parking Solutions lost?

To refresh your memory the cases where you were humiliated are:

Case 7QZ54950, Combined Parking Solutions v Poulter, Bury St Edmunds
Case 7QZ32226, Combined Parking Solutions v Cooper, Milton Keynes

Perhaps it was your alter ego Looplottty that lost the cases? In between trying to get his online leg over that is.

Why dont you just write to the people who sent the letter with the details of who the debt belongs to.
They stop writing to you, its someone elses problem .. you carry on with your life ... its so simple

Because they don't even deserve the courtesy of the cost of a stamp and the time to write a reply.

For newbies this is one of Perky's alias, he is a junior director in the company he keeps referring too!

Take no notice of his silly posts, if he was so sure of his business practice he would not be here spouting rubbish!
  • Perky I have only one thing to say - "the truth will set you free".

All lying will do is increase your already sky high blood pressure. Admit you lost the cases and gain some stature. It's a bit late but better late than never.

I have to say your ducking and diving though to explain your defeats, which must be very humiliating for a self-proclaimed winner like you, is very entertaining. Puts me in mind of the dialogue in Austin Powers:

[returning Austin's personal property after reanimating him]
Quartermaster Clerk: One Swedish-made penis enlarger.
Austin Powers: [to Vanessa] That's not mine.
Quartermaster Clerk: One credit card receipt for Swedish-made penis enlarger signed by Austin Powers.
Austin Powers: I'm telling ya baby, that's not mine.
Quartermaster Clerk: One warranty card for Swedish-made penis enlarger pump, filled out by Austin Powers.
Austin Powers: I don't even know what this is! This sort of thing ain't my bag, baby.
Quartermaster Clerk: One book, "Swedish-made Penis Enlargers And Me: This Sort of Thing Is My Bag Baby", by Austin Powers.

Eek - pink paper! They must be getting serious.

When they send you a letter on purple paper, that means they are really, REALLY cross. :naughty:
