If so do you know where it is?

Buena Vista International is giving marieclaire.co.uk readers the chance to catch a sneak preview of the romantic drama Becoming Jane(cert PG) starring Anne Hathaway and James McAvoywhich is released nationwide in cinemas on 9 March 2007.

Becoming Jane is a love story, inspired by the true romantic encounter of a young Jane Austen (Anne Hathaway) with Irishman Tom Lefroy (James McAvoy) and seen as a major influence on Austen's work.

I don't undertand how you get the tickets for this - is it a competition you have to enter or do you just print out the page and take it to the cinema on the 6th march or today?

Hi Gorgirl - I know what you mean - the section at the bottom doesn't seem necessary if you just want tickets, ie:

"We have over 2000 double passes to give away but be in quick to get yours. Simply print off this page and take it down to one of the cinemas listed below in exchange for a pair of FREE tickets for an exclusive preview screening on 6 March 2007."

So if you printed off the page and took it to the cinema it sounds pretty clear that you should get a ticket if they are available; I've filled in my details but I think that was a mistake actually. I'm going to Gateshead Cinema tomorrow to see if the printout works.

I am actually at work so I can only look at the page sporadically & I replied to your PM as soon as I saw it.

Oh and thanks for posting my PM's on the thread (without my permission I may add) - a little below the belt don't you think! Clearly these forums are not as friendly as I expected. This will definitely be my last post here.

    gorgirl,

angelundercover is doing her best to keep 'the offers only thread' relevant....but to be honest it's a losing battle. Newbies posting there by mistake & I can understand. But there are people who should & do know better posting there because they think it's okay for...whatever reason. Yes I did it myself until I realised I was becoming part of the problem. The thing is with the 'typed word' is the 'tone' & the 'spirit' in which it's meant doesn't always come across well. I'm sure Angel wasn't meaning or intending to give you a hard time....I don't read her posts/replies that way, but as only being trying to be helpful
  • Is anyone else going to the Q+A screening for A Guide To Recognising Your Saints at Panton Street tonight?

It's just that there is another screening there and I don't want to get sent to the wrong screen.

I'm guessing but did you cut and paste the displayed URL into your address bar.

Because what you have posted is not the full address - it is an abbreviated and truncated version - it is how MSE displays long URLs

If you click on this link >>>>> http://www.paramountpictures.co.uk/news/fg_screenings.asp
it will take you to the right place

Hey thanks for the reply. I can get onto the site just don't know how to print off ticket, it won't let you click on any of the cinemas there in the list. Cheers
