Went to see The Illusionist (thanks to free tickets from Momentum pictures) at the Odeon, Greenwich last night - they told us there was a 45 minute wait for the film to start and then when we did sit down to watch it at 7:15, we were told that the copy of the film was really bad and unwatchable (film reel had got damaged). However we were advised that we could either sit and try to watch the film or get free tickets to come back another day :)

Were there any other MSEr's there? Did anyone stay to see what the quality of film was like?

    Hi

Yes I was there at the Greenwich Odeon.

Quality was absolutely fine. Only towards the last 15 minutes of the film did a small fault appear - bottom of the screen - was like a small cirle of flickering fairy lights. Distracting for all of 5 minutes and then you didnt notice it. Well worth hanging around for though - the movie was fantastic!
  • has anyone tried rocking up to a cinema without a ticket and asking if there are any seats available?

If there are loads of seats left surely they will let you in?

went to see the illusionist at derby last night, as others have said, great film.

for the first time ever, cinema was full to bursting. it does seem though that there must be so many tickets allocated to each code because tried to get outlaw tickets last night and it came up as full. tried the new code today and got tickets for the same cinema that had come up as full last night

    xx

Hello again! My advice is to keep trying......

I tried for tickets to Outlaw and it came up that the screening was full. I tried again a few hours later (or possibly next day, can't remember now) and it was successful! Managed to get 2 tickets.

I think I read somewhere on here that it does change day-to-day, perhaps they release a certain number every day? Or people email to say they can't make it.
