  • Morning!

Yesterday i was reading an article about the changes to child tax credits, and it would seem that anyone on more then £25k will not get any as of April!!! Giving up work to afford a baby was hard enough, but to loose that money?!?!?! The money we have left each month will pay for school clothes and shoes as the year progresses... but there will be no extra money for clothes and trainers for DS!!!!! No extras in our house!

Anyway, I cancelled my sky TV and saved £10 a month which is better then a kick in the teeth... and now I don't work I have more time for charity shops and second hand clothes shopping. DS was so sweet and said that the game he wanted for Christmas from us, it was okay to buy it second hand (obviously I have taught him well)!

Well, looks like OS is the only way forward and I can't wait for it to get colder so DH starts bringing home ducks for dinner!

Today I have the bread on, and I am planning on just doing some computer work, and maybe more christmas stuff!

Dinner is LO Lasagne and Salad.

    Have a great day x

Please no sun or 26 degree highs today! I can't stand any sort of heat over 20C when I have things to do, I just get so flustered and I always get so hot in the morning iykwim?

Well morning everyone, off to a lecture in a mo but really looking forward to my cleaning break- watching TOWIE whilst hanging up washing and cleaning :o At least the sun will dry my clothes!
I'm finally going to make the chestnut and nettle risotto tonight for tea- or lunch? hmm have been considering eating a bigger lunch and smaller dinner as I'm too full at night and in winter I like eating a little dinner and stewed fruit or porridge before bed.

    Morning everyone

Sunny and bright here this morning. Have first load of washing on the line, another waiting to go in, but have DW on at the moment and can't run both at once. Am intending to strip, wash, dry and re-make all the beds today - want to make use of the lovely drying weather. Am now on days off so have all the usual chores to do, housework, washing, drying, ironing, cooking, menu planning, writing shopping list for tomorrow. Dinner last night was roast pork, roasties, mash, veg, yorkshires and gravy - pork crackling turned out well so DH was happy! Tonight is fish, chips/jacket potato, b/beans/veg - easy dinner as I think by that time I'm going to be shattered if I'm able to get everything done.

Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

    Morning All,

Dishwasher emptied, DH and boys off to work and school and just enjoying a cuppa.
Had a mad hour last night cleaning and putting washing away, think this warm weather has made me restless so not much to do housework wise.
DD stayed at her ex's again last night so hopefully she will make the move back soon. They are a lovely little family and keeping my fingers crossed for them.
I could really do with a new pair of jeans so might pop up to @sda living after my shower. I really hate shopping for jeans having a big bum and small waist they never fit properly and are always too long (regular) or too short(petite) so I could be in there a while:eek:
Tea tonight will be a hm lasagne but very low fat so packed out with lots of veg and a very low fat cheese sauce. Will do green beans to go with it.
Any spare minute at the moment is spent reading Stephanie Laurens books, I am addicted:D Have a good day all Julie

    morning!

been a bit lax reading and posting here - just been a bit fed up with everthing - work and home, not sure why but trying to give myself a kick up the backside!:D I know there's a lot of people with real problems to cope with.

Today it is 8 years since we lost my Dad. It was very sudden and unexpected and he was only in his late 60's so its a sad day here today.

Dinner is probably curry. Have had a tidy through - just need to change the bed(DH's still in it at moment:D) and vac the upstairs.

Redruby - glad your Dad's out of hospital and eating well x

(((hugs))) to those who need them

    take care all x
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Morning all

    Glorious day here :)

But sombre mood in work :( my colleagues father has passed away :( It's the 3rd death in as many weeks for various colleagues. Sad times.

OS wise - got up early and put WM on so it's drying nicely on balcony today, no packed lunch as meeting colleague for lunch today. No idea on dinner.

    Have good day all

Morning folks - lovely to see the sun. A bit hot though:p.
Taplady - I'm sorry that your day will be a difficult one. Thinking of you.
Hester - hope DH's cold doesn't get worse!
Have a veggie box coming today so I'm looking forward to seeing that it's like. Used to get one every 2 weeks when we lived south and I loved coming home from work and finding it there. Really delicious veg.
Cajun chicken, salad and pots planned for today. Will do an extra 2 chicken breasts and then freeze them I think for an easy tea sometime.
DD is coming over today for a coffee so I'm looking forward to catching up with her uni news. She';s in her final year as a student nurse and is lectures from now until Christmas, then placements after that.
Ok, off to have some brekkie. Dogs have been walked but I wasn't hungry enough for anything earlier.
    Have a good day peeps
