JD Sports 7 day refund policy is outrageous

Valli I still think JD sports is being unreasonable so I have no desire to change my title or let alone apologise to them. What have I done to them wrong, other than asking for a contact detail for complaint?
I get treated much better at other stores as a consumer so I will choose to use them, and simply won't return to JD Sports. I am just surprised that there are number of people who accept such disgraceful policies and adjust their life around it. I guess it is an individual's choice.0 -
Thumbremote, I have nothing to say to your comment. To you I may seem like one fussy customer but I never felt so exposed in other store's changing rooms. It's not for you to tell me to 'accept it'.0

What's disgraceful about allowing you 7 days in which to change your mind? That's above and beyond your statutory rights."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Then don't 'accept it' and shop elsewhere. JD Sports terms are better than the legal requirement. You could have tried the garment on there and then and chose not to. Next time you shop wear big pants and you'll be covered in any changing room! Wear a pair of shorts?
You really are making a mountain out of a molehill.0 -
If you think JD's return policy is bad never, ever, ever try shopping in sports direct!!Thinking critically since 1996....0

See-through apparently... Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0 -
The shop have the changing facilities for people to use and if people dont use them then its the customers loss as it could save them money if they dont like the item.
The fact that other shops eg H&M have a policy where you cna return stuff isnt relelvant as its they're policy and its up to JD sports to implement the same policy as H&M or not bother.
Your own fault for not trying the item on in store, they cant go adding extra policies for those who work mon to fri 9 -5 so they manage quite well either by using the facilities provided or buy an item pay cash and get partner or son/daughter to return it in the week.
No i do not work for JD sports and have no connection at all. I work on the common sense policy and try stuff on and decide if i like it or not and if i dont then I dont buy.0 -

But they're not. They sold you something that wasn't faulty and you changed your mind but you didn't get it back in time to comply with their advertised refund policy. They don't have to take back perfect goods at all.
It's NOT a disgraceful policy at all - as I said it is an ADDITIONAL 'right' over and above what the law requires. NO store is required, under consumer law, to take back goods and offer refunds if the goods are perfect. That's why, when stores do this, they advertise that these T&Cs are IN ADDITION TO YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.
You have the right to shop elsewhere - you weren't so anti-JD before this though, were you?
What you have done to them, which is wrong, is suggest that they are somehow at fault. They have broken no law.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
