Added buy it now but never appeared

Hi,

I listed an item with a 99p starting price and a buy it now price of £55.

The item was on a timed listing and started a few hours ago.

The buy it now never appeared in the auction and now somebody has bid on it at 99p.

I don't have a clue why the buy it now never activated but now I cannot add it. Can anybody help?

Once you have a bid the BIN option disappears anyway

It would have gone the moment someone bid 99p on it, did you check it before the bid was placed?

No but I used a template of a previous auction that had a the buy it now set

The chances are the 99 p bid was placed before you saw the live listing & at that point the BIN would have gone.
I think that if you place a reserve then the BIN will remain until the reserve is met.

    I'll check that

I'll probably get more for it as its for a sold out concert next week and the buy it now price I was setting was £20 below face value. Just wanted quick sale.

It may be to my advantage

Thanks they are set at free special delivery.

I don't understand as the original auction had a buy it now and an auction set. Last time I sold with this option the buy it now remained even though I had bids. I did not add the buy it now after listing it was there at the start I thought.

Did you have a reserve price last time as well?
