I am with the others, since going MSE I have started cooking everything myself from scratch, so no processed foods and my IBS is loads better, my ulcedr has nearly healed and I have stabalized my weight in the healthy range!

  • I guess I am what you could call slim, but I'm certainly not skinny! 5' 7" and a size 10/12 however I do have problem areas that I dislike and since becoming a DFW they've not improved because I spend way too much time sitting in front of the PC, I have given up the gym/exercise classes.

I just try and get exercise by walking at lunchtimes and doing (or trying to do!! But that's another story...) home work outs.

I think being a DFW has helped me not get to a 12/14 because I am being very frugal with grocery money and making sure we cook from scratch using fresh veggies and rice/pasta etc.

When I am less riddled with debt I want to go back to dance classes and maybe return to a size 10 but as long as my ar*e & thighs don't expand any further  I'll be happy!

Aaah, being a young man, I am concerned that if I don't start putting in place healthy lifestyle habits now, I'll be fat and bloated in my 40s and dead before I'm 50...

Sooooo, while I am not in bad shape, I am unfit and a bit tubby. Having spent most of my undergrad days taking care of myself, my build hides the added weight quite well. I finished uni weighing 13.5 stone (85kg) and finished two years of postgrad at 15 stone (95kg) which is where I am now.

If I was even a half as gung ho about my fitness as my finances, I'd be on the cover of men's health but as it is, sorting my finances has mostly required me to sit down and work stuff out and then keep sitting down, which is great for the bank balance, but not so great for the abs...

I've also been thinking lately of ways to improve my situation. I budget myself £40-50 a week, depending on my monthly outgoings, for guilt free spending, so perhaps I should reserve £25 a week from that and 'pay' myself to exercise. Five times a week would net me the full amount, whereas if I cheat myself I lock it away in my ISA or something.

Also have signed up to https://www.traineo.com which is frankly awesome, but have made little progress in shifting even 5kg. I have stopped drinking for the duration of January, so perhaps that'll kick start my metabolism.

I just need to get out from infront of my PC and into my running shoes... :D
