I think it depends on what you were like before.
I have lost about 10lbs since April, I wasn't big before (10/12) anyway
previously I would:
Buy breakfast from the canteen (eg bagel with cream cheese)
Buy lunch from the canteen (eg pasta, fish & chips etc)
Chocolate/ crisps in the afternoon
Cans of diet coke
Drinks/ lunch in the pub 1/2 times per week
I would spend about £25- £30 per week
Now:
I bring my own cereal and use the work's milk
bring my lunch in (sandwiches/ salads/ soup) if forget I get soup and a roll from the canteen for £1
only eat chocolate if someone else buys it!
drink water or free tea at work
Go for coffee 1 time per week with a friend
Nowadays it is £5 per week and I feel much better for it :A
I am no longer a member of a gym, instead I walk more, use the stairs at work and use my OH's gym (free pass) whenever I can. I have also become vegetarian as I didn't eat much meat anyway and found it very expensive.Saving for an early retirement!0 -

I've stayed the same. Was a lazy size 14/12 before MSE and still a lazy 14/12! Although now that I'm doing better with money I might do something about the laziness and get to a size 12 so I have clothes that fit. Tomorrow, that is.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

For me it was a little like a lightbulb moment for my whole life!
First I got my head around the fact that I needed to lose a couple of stone and really got to grips with that,
then it seemed that when I was in control of my weight, and down to my goal, I felt the need to get in control of my finances.
So my head has obviously had a lot to get in control of over the past year or so but now I feel more or less in control, and I like that feeling so I want to stay there.
The fact that I can only afford to eat dust does help :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
