I can't remember how long exactly, but, I was up and running with Kaspersky via Barclays within a couple of days.
However, if you are only opening the account for the Kaspersky, why bother? Plenty of free AV's out there that would be fine for your use - Bitdefender for example.

I'm not sure why anyone would PAY for AV, Firewall etc.
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

  • Hi,

I've downloaded the Avira free version. so far so good. I'm no techie, but would it be worth paying for the paid version for £29? it says it provides extra protection when banking online?

    thanks

no, av companies are like politicians, they try to scare you and will say anything when trying to sell you something. you don't need to pay for or install a third party av if you have win10. you just need a bit of common sense.

  • Hi. Thanks.

No I don't have common sense. But yes I do have win 10.

I have Asira AV and malwarebytes and windows defender turned on.

Is there anything I should do. I've just bought a desktop.

    Thanks

Turn off windows defender. (Assumption: Avira AV is already running).

If Avira is running, Defender will be disabled by default.
