  • My first post to this excellent site!

https://www.bigpockets.co.uk are selling a 2Gb Datawrite USB pen for just £9.99 if you buy something else from the site.

If we go for the cheapest item...

    £9.99 - 2Gb USB Pen
    £1.89 - 100 CD Wallets
    £11.88 total (without P&P)

If you live near Stourbridge in the West Mids, you can go and collect giving no postage costs.
If you need to have it posted, its just £2.75 to UK mainland.
Not a bad offer for double the memory!

I know it might be a bit rich for some tastes. But the 4GB Buffalo thumb drive is an excellent price compared to others of same size, £27.99 inc free shipping

What file system are the 4GB drives formatted with? All my drives came formatted with the FAT file system but FAT only goes up to 2GB (excluding NT).

  • this buffalo flash pen is now out of stock or discontinued. plenty of other cheap options on amazon though
  • Sorry if anybody else has pointed this out...

The Kingston 1GB is now around the £6/7 mark, depending on who you buy it from... However, when I had one seller up and scrolled down the page it gave a list of other sellers on the right hand side. One of these was "Amazon.co.uk" and when I bought it from them for £6.95 (even though it doesn't *say* on the screen) it counted towards my free postage total...

    Hope this helps?

Watch out, the p&p adds £4.50 to that price!
Ordered two 1gb memory sticks from Amazon at £8.88 each but they wanted to charge an additional £4.50 for each stick for post and packaging making a total of £9.00 for p+p so cancelled the order. The third party sellars replied "The delivery charge is per item and set by Amazon and all the components shop prices are discounted to take into account any surplus funds between the postage credit we receive from Amazon and the actual cost of the postage, packing etc and this saving is represented in the sales price of all our products being sold on Amazon" Puzzle that one out! So the real price of the item is something like £13.38 and the equivalent can be got slightly cheaper in electronics shops
