You can use them in any computer with a USB port. Plug the stick into the USB slot then go to my computer and you should see under the heading "devices with removable storage" and the name of your memory stick will be shown with the drive it's on eg E drive.
Hope this helps0 -
Ebuyer is £7.58 inc vat, plus postage0

Also worth bearing in mind is that most of the cheaper brands of MP3 player are also, effectively, flash drives.
Dixons are doing a Matsui 1Gb MP3 player (which you can use as a flash drive/memory stick) for £21.99 (plus 3.99 postage, but you can just go into the store) - obviously that's more expensive than the straight flash drives, but you get a perfectly ok MP3 player into the bargain. (If I'm being picky, the song/album navigation isn't great, but at that price I'm not complaining)
Unless you want to put a whole 1 Gb of music on there, it will store any other kind of files too, just like any other flash drive. Again, it just plugs into the USB port of your PC or Mac and doesn't need any more drivers than a flash drive. (So none at all for Windows XP or Mac OS X users; standard drivers for Windows 98 and Mac Classic users) (Note - I'm not just talking about the Matsui - as I said, most of the cheaper brands are the same)0 -
Just bought 2 last week direct from Amazon at £11 each, so free postage. Will now be reclaiming the difference in price from Amazon - see in their help section0

I got one of the 1Gb Kingston's for £4.64 (inc postage) as part of the Hellmans offer (Amazon couldn't deliver the book hence the excellent price)
When you see these prices it does make you wonder how much profit is made on flash based mp3 players and why prices on other types of memory are not falling as fast (eg PC memory)0 -
My son and his friend wants a 1gb or 2gb they both go to college so they need one but they said kingston is a good make but the postage costs are nearly £12 for the 2 pens
Is there any way it can be cheapers the pens are nearly £4 each
Or does someone know of any pens with free delivery it has to be a good name(teenagers lol)
The cheaper the better as they are students thankyou0 -
Hi, I bought this one from Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000GYI34U/026-5586654-7910867)
(Datawrite Voyager 1GB USB Pen Drive)
And it is complete rubbish!! It is always getting really really hot (so hot you cannot touch it) - I then have to let it cool down as it burns itself out and sometimes cannot access the data. The outsise is metal so when it gets hot the metal gets hot too and I have dropped it as it pretty much burnt me today!
I have shown it to others who cannot believe how hot it gets, I know this is not right, should I contact Amazon and send it back? Should I ask for another brand if so, or just a replacement??
Cheers for the help
EDIT: OOOps, looking at Amazons website it doesnt seem that I can return the item as I bought it in October 2006, is this right even though it seems its faulty?
