These pens...I read somewhere that there's a formatting issue with them in that they don't like to be wiped too many times; is this true? Yeah for a tenner give or take it aint worth worrying about but still...?0

I know it might be a bit rich for some tastes. But the 4GB Buffalo thumb drive is an excellent price compared to others of same size, £27.99 inc free shipping

One minor point, these are *flash drives*, not *memory sticks* which are Sony's name for their cards.0

I teamed up with colleagues and bought 4 2GB USB flash drives from Scancom
(http://www.scancom.co.uk/product.php/2156/1//990ed480ae9a14bbf8a807ba08aa1424) at £9.99 +P&P +VAT which worked out just under £13 each - this seems one of the best deals on the web.
I now notice they limit it to maximum of two drives per order which takes the price up to nearer £15 each unless you want other things from Scancom!every-expense-spared :j0 -
Call me old-fashioned, but isn't the Kingston DataTraveler 1GB USB drive from Amazon a better deal at £7.25?

Make sure you select from Amazon.co.uk amongst the Marketplace sellers.0 -
Alternatively try Eclipse Computers - http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.aspx?code=ME-FD1024 - where these are 6.99 inc VAT.0

play.com is offering a twin pack containing one each of Maxell 1gig and 64mb USB2 flash drives for £9.99 INCLUDING p&p. The 64mb stick comes with a formatting and password protection program which allows you to restrict access to your data. Obviously you can transfer this to the 1gig drive if you so desire, both sticks are fully formatted and ready to use. Got mine two weeks ago, works fine.

I have just checked and if you buy from one of the third party sellers on Amazon you can get the Kingston one for £3.97 plus £4.00 postage.

These days you can use them in any computer, just plug them into the USB port and the drive will appear in My Computer within a few seconds.0
