  • hey LG nice one re the Halifax card - way to rock that debt slaying!

I made a ppi complaint with Halifax, I got a letter a few days later to say they were looking into it and two months later got a letter saying they were paying me £160 - v nice so that was my birthday meal for the fam & my lovely oh's birthday present in feb :T

also re the shopping I now detest shopping (although I took up being a minimalist earlier on in the year so that really has curbed my desire to buy sh1te ;)) I literally only buy something if I set out needing it and even then I can try on loads of stuff and think it all looks carp and there is no way I would spend x amount on it!

Hope you have a lovely xmas x

Hi, LondonGirl, I've just read through your diary - what an uplifting story! I'm not actually in debt but your passion has wanted me to restrict my spending in a similar way! I'm the same age as you so totally understand all the pressures of juggling social life living in a city. I wish you luck and have every faith in you!

    Trixie :)

    Hi Trixie!

Thank you so much :D Good luck - I'm pleased my diary has helped you want to do this! Let me know how you get on!

    Hey!
Thanks :j feels great to cross that one off the list!

Ah brilliant, well done! I will keep my fingers crossed for a similar outcome! They said they'll right to me within 5 days to register the complaint.

Yeah same here, I did pick up a jumper in a shop yesterday and was umming and ahhing then I thought about how much it was and what would happen to my budget if I overspent and I dropped it like it was on fire!

    This MSE-ing is powerful stuff!!

Thanks, hope you have a lovely xmas too x

  • Morning gang,

Writing this from my sickbed! The lurgy has taken full throttle now and feel rotten. Cant stop coughing so rang my boss and he told me to stay in bed. Am missing the dept xmas party tonight which is a shame however I hadn't paid for it so I'm hoping I wont have to and that will save me £15 plus anything else I would have spent. So that is a plus! Today should be a NSD now. Hopefully the first tenner can go in the NSD pot!

Thankfully I can still MSE from my bed :) Hoping having today off will help me feel well enough to go in tomorrow as its the childrens party at work and its so nice to meet everyone's kids!!

    Missing the horses too :(
