Mmmmm, Mark88man, Pol Roget White Foil. I have a lovely memory of taking a tour of the Pol Roget champagne house during my birthday trip to France some years back. We were treated to two magnums of champagne after the tour, between 12 of us, and it was only something like 10 euros for the tour. I've got one bottle left from the case we bought. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

I LOVE that stuff!!!
That sounds like a brillirant tour Satchmo1, you've done well to keep back any bottles!
Today looks on track to be a zero spend dayI'm almost out of my canteen allowance but popped to boots instead and got a meal deal, paid for by advantage points, I can throw together sups with stuff in the fridge.
Next week I'll be making sure my allowance lasts me the week so I don't need to buy out, we now have an expensive night out tomorrow which wasn't in the budget but I'm still planning to keep within the weekly budget overall.
Did I tell you guys I entered a triathlon? It's through work at Eton Dorney and I'm the only girl from the london office doing the sprint distance as an individual so there's a bit of pressure! I haven't trained as much as I would have like but have been keeping fit in general. This morning I cycled 10.5km and ran 5km - now my legs are killing me!
Unfortunatley the race is next Friday so not much time to change that! hahaha!Santander 0% £1,529.94

Well done.
Enjoy Eton Dorney if you can. I had friends participate in a duathalon (sp?) a year or so back and its stunning.0 -
now they would be lucky to get a white and rose Chaumet from Lidl (Sparkling Perry @ £1.29 and £1.99 for Brut and Rose respectively)
Oh God, not the Chaumet! My old work gives that out on birthdays and at christmas. All of the customers call it champagne *cringe*Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Heya
Well, week one of the stricter budget has gone reasonably well, I went £30 over budget on Friday night (I blame the wine) but I do have "spontaneity" allowance each month so i clawed this back from this and the rest of the week i have been very well behaved.
Tomorrow I will withdraw £140 for the next 7 days which includes my triathlon day, and a friends birthday drinks.
We had some good news today, me and friend are going away to Khitzbhuel in August for 4 nights, her work own a hotel there and the staff get very discounted rates. Its usually €179 net per room per night (her and I are sharing) and this inludes all meals and unlimited beer and wine with lunch and dinner. She got an email from them today which said they've applied their summer offer discount to our room and we are getting it for €99 per night instead. WOOP!
My temp replacement started yesterday, its nice to start handing work over, the countdown really is on now...!

Sat here deliberating what to do for lunch.
I REALLY want to go and get a salad from chop'd, they're delicous AND healthy. However that costs £5.95.
The canteen is 100 steps away and is free as I still have allowance left.
No brainer, lets see what they have today.
Glad we sorted that out.Santander 0% £1,529.94

Thanks to eating at work I had a nice underspend today so that has gone in the pot to be paid into my ISA at the end of the month.
I have a piggy bank where, every night when I get in, I dump all coins that are in my purse into it. Its just reached bursting point so I emptied it out earlier. I counted the coins that are 50p and bigger and I have £52, I think there's about another £20 in smaller change so will try and get to a coin counter this weekend to bank it! That can go to my isa too!Santander 0% £1,529.94

we're doing the coins thing at the moment but trying to keep it to £1 and £2 so when we open it (with a hammer) it will be worth it :-)I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
