Hi LondonGirl,
Just spent the last few days reading your diary. I found it inspirational, entertaining and I am full of admiration for the way you are determined to be debt free and change your habits.
DD2 directed me to this website last week when I found out I was losing my job in a couple of weeks time. I have certainly picked up some very useful tips. Like everyone else I have my fingers crossed re. exam results. Good Luck.
Hi Lezley,
Thanks for reading and posting, welcome to the forumsthanks for your lovely comments I can't believe its been nearly a year now, I feel like its all still so new!
Sorry you have lost your job, this website is fantastic for picking up ideas to save money. I hope you find new work soon

4 e-bay watchers now, still nil bids.
Didn't manage the NSD as I bought some veg and pasta sauce on way home but made enough to last a few nights so shouldn't have to buy more food this week.
The polo might well be rained off, although it would be shame for the match to be called off I really want to save the money!
Right, need to go and decide what on earth to wear tomorrow!!!! I really really hope he doesn't want to do anything thats going to cost! If it wasn't so flaming wet I'd suggest going to the park with a bottle of wine and food but when it's raining its impossible to not spend money... any ideas very welcome!Santander 0% £1,529.94

Museum's / Galleries - Cup of coffee at the tate, that is extortionate but not too bad
Meet up at a pub - couple of beers / soda's not extortionate
Covent garden/Camden market - bit corny for a proper londoner + hard not to buy stuff - but could be way of broaching that you were saving for something/paying off past indulgences depending on how frank you wanted to be
Grab a couple of boris bikes (easier to cycle if its a bit grey)
do they still do free radio shows?I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long

hey LG! ooooo how exciting a date! Not sure what the big smoke s like today, but no sign of rain down south so maybe that bottle of wine in the park might work? Hope you have lots of fun xDF as at 30/12/16

Thanks for the ideas Mark, not sure if they do do the radio shows but I like the idea of when I do tell someone why I'm money anal paying off past indugences is a good way of explaining it and its the truth!Santander 0% £1,529.94

Didn't get a NSD yesterday as I had to buy some pasta sauce which I thought I had stacks of... hmmm and today won't be one which means I really must get a couple out of Weds, Thurs and Fri...
Few more watchers on ebay no bids yet.
£1 to C Card for PAD
I spoke to Mum this morning and she's just transferred £100 into my account bless her and said to pay it back when I can. I'm going to pay her back on payday but I don't want to mess up next month by having to pay back an extra £100 so I'm moving it into my online saver account and will only dip in if I have to then hopefully I can just transfer it back next month without it affecting the debt busting. But I do feel better knowing i have it there as a buffer. Still going to try and make tonight as spend-free as possible

Sigh.... LondonGirl is in lust that is for sure! Had a wonderful night with D, we went to an italian where they make all the food fresh in front of you. You go to a counter and order what you like, and they produce it while you wait, quite inexpensive and and he paid for that which was really sweet of him. Then went for a couple of drinks in a scandinavion bar where I paid for a couple of rounds so in all, spent £17. Seeing him again Friday for bowling! So nice we live so close as he walked me to my door and make sure I got home safe.
Today already has been spendy as I had to buy painkillers, I WILL get a NSD this week!
This time tomorrow I will have the results. VERY nervous about that if I get any sleep tonight it will be a miracle!
