Is there a particular barcode I can look out for? Our T doesn't have a scanner. How did you explain why you went ahead & paid the £79? I'm a bit shy, new to DTD!

barcode for the DJ Hero2 is 5030917087790 andis the same as this...

    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.209-8676.aspx

i had my two toddlerswith me..both being monkeys :)...and had some other shopping too, so wasnt really paying attention...not that anyone questioned me....

however, when i went to the electrical desk, the chap said to go and show him the SEL (shelf edge label)...so I did..and he said 'oh my god...i cant believe it'...i just smiled and then he said 'you're going to get double the difference you know'...and i just replied saying 'oh wow...i couldnt afford the Wii one for stepson...but now i can!!!'...he just laughed ;)

at the end of the day, its their error- not yours. You shouldnt have to justify their mistake...nor explain why you didnt notice the price difference. If they do ask, just say you werent paying attention when you paid...or that you thought that was the correct price and when you checked you realised it wasnt...or you thought you'd got the price wrong so you went to check and realised it was wrong on the SEL.

If any staff try to fob you off with just the difference in price...or a refund...refuse politely and explain that behind them on THEIR customer policy board it states you are entitled to double the difference.

I think the one piece of advice I would offer is what someone on here told me....spread it thin across different stores....dont get DTD every time you're in the store if possible...and especially not on large amounts!!! That way you will stay as inconspicuous as possible and the fun will last longer ;)

    good luck!:)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

My MIL went to T's the other day looking for the bed guards and phoned to say that she got some but they were £3.** When she gave me them, they were not the Lindam ones but 'Summer' Double Bed Rails (has 2 sides to it). They hadn't been on the shelf but when she asked, the woman took them from through the back. Thinks this is a new one.

After my initial much misunderstood;) entry onto this forum I'm not sure how to take that but will accept that with good grace.:D I have to admit I was bemused by this thread as to where it fits in the Grabbit sphere and from other posts there are others are equally puzzled.

Nevertheless it is my first port of call for up to date info on Tesco deals. My head says it should be on the main Grabbit board but others might say there is too much chat/discussion. My heart says its probably in the right place and I've gradually warmed to it's idiosyncratic form. Hope it continues in this form but I can understand why board mods may move some things.

Artha, I think you fit in here quite well now as we've got used to your little quirks and occasional contraversial posts about things that you obviously feel passionate about. You are now officially a member of the "Elite11" club and I have a feeling that if we had a toast to that you would be on the port or fine red wine;);)

    Hi everyone,

sunshinestar ..I hope you find your money hunni, probably mixed in kids toys and it will turn up when you are not looking!

    squigs we want pics!!

and it is great to see artha in full swing now!

I popped in to mr T on way to work as I spotted a brand new scanner in the clothing section and as the old one hasnt worked for about a month I was excited :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:no luck though, def looked like the shelves had been cleared of anything that looked remotely like it might scan at 4p !

But picked up one of these
    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-3407.aspx

for £3.75 while I was there....not 4p but still cheap! I wont post it on main board as I did with the canvas pet carrier (which was great!) as that just got moved to somewhere hidden on page 578ish!

Been trying to make time to ask how everyone is but it takes an hour to catch up on the posts while I have been at work!

Czerniacha, I hope you are staying positive about job hunt- you KNOW the reason you havent found a job yet is that the perfect one is just waiting around the corner! I was thinking of you today as I looked at sauerkraut for 'sarma' and wondered if you make a similar dish?

Good to see the regulars posting and keeping this thread hilarious but at the same time so very supportive!

    hugs

    Good evening all!

Sunshinestar .....hopefully the money will turn up for you...probably somewhere you least expect it to be, have you searched your car? Please do lock your doors when home, so easy for intruders to enter otherwise.

I had a semi-successful visit to Tesco today. Found 2 casserole dishes and 3 Toy Story gift bags. Checked clothing for 4p items and found the shiny padded coat that has been mentioned previously in black and also one in cream. Went to self scan till along with other food items. All was going well with scanning them, assistant removed security tag from first coat and then she gave it back to me and said nothing about the price. She did the same to the second coat but then she had to enter a code into the till as it not recognised the coat on the weighing balance. Assistant then noticed the 4p price and said 'sorry, can't sell them to you'. Called her supervisor over who told me that the 4p items goes to charity and were not for sale, same with the 1p items. She asked me where in store I got them from, when I told her she let me have the casserole dishes and the gift bags but not the coats. she was actually very nice about it all and did mention there had been a lot of 4p items but they should have been all removed from sale. This was in T*lbot Green store. I guess the coats were not meant for me. Did find the finest chocolate tart but no other frozen desserts.

Time for me to go catch up on all of today's bargains and stories.:D
