had a great time today! Got my tents for playgroup this morning...but no knives...so been again this afternoon to a different Ts....and again no knives...BUT I did get the PS3 DJ Hero2 SEL 19.99...scanned at £79.99...woop woop...couldnt resist....so my finalbill of £118.24 was in fact free...along with one of next years birthday presents! SA just laughed when giving me the money back, but he did instruct someone to correct the SEL so 'we dont get done again!'...:)....apparently according to him, the SELs are created by head office and downloaded and printed at each store...so there should be these in every store, until someone gets one!

Now off to have a scan through paper to see if I can find a 3rd freezer for the garage to fill ;)
Is there a particular barcode I can look out for? Our T doesn't have a scanner. How did you explain why you went ahead & paid the £79? I'm a bit shy, new to DTD!

Sunshine...I'm with Artha on this one...you said you'd left it on the side....is this near a window or door? My sister left her handbag on the side in the kitchen last year...(her kitchen is at the back of the house...you'd have to walk up the drive to get to it..and can see the drive from the front window)...someone walked up,opened the back door...took her bag which had her iphone, camera & purse in :(....all because she'd left the back door unlocked and was busy playing on the living room floor so didnt notice someone walking up the drive! Theres plenty of chancers out there and it worries me that this is wats happened to you - maybe worth phoning police just in case?

Also Artha....we decided to have an outdoor postbox fitted when the dog chewed and ate £50 in notes which arrived with my birthday card :( gutted didnt even come close !

We got very paranoid and always lock and bolt our doors ever since we had a caller at the front door "allegedly" from Help The Aged. Whilst I was at the front door talking to this person I vagulely thought i heard our dog (no longer with us sadly) barking at the back of the house in the utility room where she lived. When the person at the front left rather sharply I went to find out why the dog was barking and discovered the back door open. Later discovered that my DD1s school satchel was missing which she said she had left by the back door. They must have tried the back door while I was occupied at the front, found it open, and thanks to the dog they had just grabbed what they could and legged it. Lesson here, always lock and bolt your doors as there is always a chancer about.

Just back from Tesco where I found 2 new 4p items

Cherokee Mens cotton cargo trousers, dark grey with big pockets on the legs and a dark grey canvas woven belt. b/c 5052319237672

Cherokee boys green top (11/12), like long sleeved T shirt with grey pattern on front showing american roadsigns. b/c 5052319484304

I was looking through a sale rail and found the cargo trousers above. There was no label, no tag, nothing so I approached 2 clothing ladies and asked how much they were. One of the ladies had a little hand held scanner and found the b/c printed on the pocket. She entered the code and then looked at her friend.... 4p she said. Me: 4p ! why are they 4p. She said they were clearance stock. Me: Can I have them for 4p ? Well, she said, the manager said we can sell them at 4p. After that I picked up the boys top which was reduced to £1, and skipped along to the checkout. I boldly told the checkout girl that they would scan at 4p and the clothing ladies said they could be sold at that price and she was one of those girls that don't give a flying **** how much things are going through at and looked at me like I was bonkers. So the trousers went through at 4p and the top went through for 4p as well.
Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)

Hi you said in your first post you got to tescos and found out you had no money in your purse. But in this post you say after your neighbour went you saw the money.so did you loose £600 or your purse and where abouts did you have the £600 in your house/purse when you say it was there after your neighbour went. I just think if you works backwoods you can sometimes remember were you put it.

Dropped DS1 Off at school, came home, had a cuppa and a quick look on here.....Neighbour came around for a phone number i had got for her... it was in my jeans with the money.. so i remember seeing it then... Gave the paper with the phone number on to neighbour, then she left. then got DS2 dressed and then got myself changed...
remember leaving the house assuming DH had picked it up as he had picked up the car keys too and i carried DS2 to the car.

Got to the Hosp, assuming all was ok, never thinking about the money TBH... went in my purse to pay for parking and noticed that it wasnt there.. but again, assumed that DH had it... never questioned it really... baby brain maybe??

Got to Ts, did a bit of browsing, like you do, lol. then went to go in my purse again for the change.. didnt have enough chance so asked DH for a note... THATS when we realised we didnt have it....

went back home, thinking we must have left it on the side, as DH didnt pick it up... but couldnt find it anywhere....

oh well.... gutted, but i suppose theres nothing we can do now.....

secretly seething inside and wanting to blame someone though. lol

checked the jeans too... checked EVERYWHERE... even inside the toilet brush holder thing.. haha

dont think we will find it now..... dont think we were robbed, no one has been around to the house other than the next door neighbour first thing, but im sure i saw the money after that... no one can get to the back of our house, and the conservatory doors were locked.. i left it, either on the sofa, where i changed my (£1 lol) jeans quicly before going out, or on the fireplace.....

stupid me... cancelled the contents insurance,... we dont have much, especially of value.. so didnt think we would need it..... was trying to scrimp and save in any way we could to get this money so cancelled it..... stupid stupid Sunshinestar!!!!!

Have you checked down the back of the sofa?

Or under as it could have dropped off and been kicked under, my dd1 is a master at hidding things last week she got hold of my cash card and it got kicked under the TV unit, today she hid the lid to my henry hover while I was clearing the bag its not a small thing and I still dont know what shes done with it.

I really hope you find it.

Artha... I must say, its lovely to have you on board... your one of the gang now :beer::beer:

As for the comment above.. NOW, I didnt know about this, if there's a star on the SEL it means the price will come down further??

Not guaranteed but it means it is a discontinued line. Price will I guess be dictated by how much stock is clogging up the system and how fast it is moving

    Sorry but I :rotfl:

I worked with some really nice actuaries but some were so dull they made dishwater look bright & sparkly!

I think my DS may be the exception to the rule then;) He is a really funny kid, with a "wicked" sense of humour, but I just think his brain has been wired mathematically:) Does all the things normal teenagers do but has been a member of The Royal Institute of Mathemiticians for ages and goes to monthly lectures there, We were shocked when he joined, goes fully suited every month and they're all miles older than him, and he's on the gifted and talented register. But he has us in hysterics at times with his antics and you know if he's had too much to drink because he starts discussing "Protons" & Algebra problems. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:He is really lucky because it just comes naturally to him, in fact my OH got kicked out of school at 15 and keeps asking for DNA tests on our DS as he swears he can't be his;);):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
