We are the same - its the economy we're all in - budgeting is a must ! I think thats why this thread is so great - last xmas I must of spent at least £1000 - my boys, neices and nephews and then the adults ! This year thanks to tesco £200 !

My grocery bill is the worst but I get things on sale like others have said and stock up ! Then the main staples meat / bread / milk etc don't break the bank ! And Tesco clubcard is great and the till spits ! I'd never shopped at Tesco until the Asda DTD started back last year!

Good Luck with your budgeting and share your tips !

I agree, due to no fault of our own we lost everything just over a year ago I mean everything, house, cars, business we literally turned up at my dads with a suitcase each. long story which I don't really want to go into. We stayed at my dads or about 6 months with him helping us finacially. When we finally moved out I knew things were going to be tight, lucky this was around the same time that DTD started. I am now addicted to this thread, grabbit board and the coupon thread, I refuse to pay full price for anything. Are shopping bills have been cut by 80% christmas is all sorted for next to nothing every cupboard 2 fridges and 3 freezers and the spare room is full and we even have a little bit of savings.

It is hard at first, but after a while it becomes second nature :rotfl:

I'm 6' 4" and I'm constantly getting asked by people, especially little old ladies, to get things down from the top shelves.

I get asked quite a lot myself HC but you don't mind you just think of your granny :A

Same with my dh. He's forever getting asked to get things. I'm only 5'7 but have arms like a monkey so tend to leave him at home lol!

I'll not take it personally, perhaps if you went more often you may realize they are not all old men wearing cardis and sandals

Oh by the way you can get no 2 onthe list without poking anything in your ear , as lala said even water from a shower can cause it
    So what do you think?

Edit by the way you can clean your ears without sticking anything in , olive oil softens the wax and it should just fall out -you can get it in little ear dropper type things at the chemist

Hmmm, just don't like them, I guess it's one of those things.

When it happened I hadn't been in the shower for over a week.

    Will vegetable oil work?

hi had my first items took away from me today it was the ocean dough and another dough "sorry we cant sell that" felt like a kid who had her lolly taken away then when i went to scan some clothes noticed a security guard hanging around looking over my shoulder so i smiled sweetly and gave him the bits i did not want and said " be a sweetie and put them back as you are not busy" His face was a picture but he took them and i scarpered in the opposite direction with my 4p pj s and ankle socks and managed to pay for them before he got back.. i did say goodbye to him but he never replied:rotfl:
