LMAO !!! Today we went to poundstretcher, where I was overcharged on a toy, had the £1 refunded.
Got to my SIL's house where DD1 pipes up "mum got a glitch in poundstretcher" ha ha, she actually thought you got DTD in all shops ;);):):) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just taking advantage of glitchs regularly, as people are today, could have you earmarked. I assume that things have changed as the unfortunate experience of Looby123 was once commonplace.

Yep, the staff have got savvy and half the managers have the glitches off the shelves and in their lockers before we do!

The stories about the abuse of the electrical bargains and the recent £1 clothing stuff should show Philip Clarke just how much his management needs cleaning up!

it wasnt the 2 items in one transaction that bought about all the hoo haa...it was because their card machine wouldnt work properly and refund the money backto my debit card - they were happy enough to give me DTD and that was agreed quickly- but I spent 50 minutes arguing that if they couldnt put the money on my debit card they would need to give me cash - they wanted to give me gift vouchers! Admittedly with hindsight this drew attention to myself, but unless their policy changes then I was in the right ( I know some have mentioned doing DTD so that the refund goes back the way it was paid ie credit/debit card/cash etc...and the gratuity part goes as gift card)....the manager didnt like it because I was right- she made me phone my bank as she was convinced it was my card- and even told me to go home, order a new card...then comeback in a few weeks for my DTD
I'm 100% sure there are particular cards they won't or struggle to refund to, if I remember rightly the co-op bank is one, this may be worth googling :):)

Found some mens AW10 Knitwear scanned at 4p got trouted by SA who said 'I can't sell them for that'. I went to a manned till as they had security tags on, I only had 3 two brown and 1 black.

And then to make matters worse the correct discount came off the aquafresh and they had removed the sels for the timotei!!

I know it does happen that but surely the staff can only take a small proportion of what's on offer. Possibly some of the best but that's a perk of the job. I'm sure Ive seen other people posting that the staff deserve the pickings as they are so poorly paid. After all they are only MSErs in a Tesco uniform;). I've no idea what Tesco staff get paid so can't comment.

I would only see it as a problem if Tesco are pushing these things as loss leaders and staff are taking the majority before the public gets them. I can see that you feel strongly about this and would suggest that you email Philip Clarke to make your point and cite whatever information you have. I've been equally frustrated at times, so I sympathise, but I personally don't have enough evidence to do so:cool:

Well that's me another £200 poorer this week after 2 visits to the solicitor. Both DSs are ill (again) so while they were being minded I took a quick trip to Ts. Managed to get:

3 packs of the Try by day, score by night PJs (shhhhhh wearing a pair now just for the craic)

A pack of 2 pairs of shorts - scanning at half the marked price (£5 instead of £10). One pair was a khaki green, the other pair dark blue with red detail stitching

A pair of short sleeve PJs - scanning at half the marked price (£7 instead of £14). They're horizontal stripes of various sizes in black, charcoal grey and light grey.

If anyone wants more details give me a shout as the boys are both asleep and I don't want to wake them.

Oh and there's a DTD awaiting someone for the knives in $pr1ngh1ll b@ng0r. There's 3 boxes with the 3 for 2 sticker still fully intact. The front box has the sticker removed and one other box has the sticker badly removed. The rest were all ok.

No idea what the glitch was on the Rolo ice-creams but I got the stick versions b1g2f and the correct discount applied. Not worried though as they're cheap and yummy. Also got some Gallo wine which could be interesting as the offer had disappeared from the Asda section of mysupermarket this morning so not sure if it still compares.

I know it may sound a bit scare tactic like, but there are some staff out there who'll make it their personal mission to stop people 'like us'.

I had a member of management staff take my CC details (on only my 2nd DTD in that store, months apart). He circulated my description to all the local stores, I got an email from head office to say that my activities were being looked into. My online shopping account magically 'disappeared', and so did the other one a week later.
When I got it back, things mysteriously got messed about with on my online orders so they'd arrive at the wrong time, items missing etc.

All of this made me feel very worried and that particular individual clearly knew it!

That's quite scary as I'm sure it is against the data protection act and what Tesco are allowed to do with your credit card details. For instance, what if the member of staff left the number lying around? You could have your identity stolen/ things ordered on your account. They are only allowed to retain cc details for the purpose in which you gave them (to pay for goods).

I remember reading through lots of small print that was posted on MSE a couple of years ago (I think in relation to R&R) including that they were in breach of the T&Cs if they retained your info to "keep an eye on you".

    It's only a game
