Think you are right, but that's the gist of what I was hearing;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Just back from hols and called into W4tf0rd T today. Bought 'some' wine Touriga Nacional red @7.79 or 2 for £10 (ood sel), it was at the end of the seasonal row. Then picked up 'some' Terrenal red @ 9.99 on a 342 (ood sel) - this was on an end aisle just before wine dept. White choc eggs with orange crystals were 2.75 bogof and some choc covered honeycomb biscuits @ 1.00, both on ood's - there were lots of other ood's there as well - on the seasonal aisle. Only 25% came off the wine, choc eggs went thro' @ 2.00 each and biscuits @ 1.80. sel were remved for the wine but they didn't remove the labels for the Terrenal white - still up as 342 @ 9.99 each - end aisle near wine dept for anyone near there. Sel's not removed for choc eggs or biscuits. Only buy one pack of biscuits as they will kick in @ 2 4 £2.00. HTH Mega dtd and they left the original 25% wine discount on! Cheers!0

Dear Mrs. Murray,
While we thank you for your valued custom and use of the Tesco Loyalty Card, the Manager of our store in Banbury is considering banning you and your family from shopping with us, unless your husband stops his antics.
Below is a list of offences over the past few months all verified by our surveillance cameras:
1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's trolleys when they weren't looking.
2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.
3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to feminine products aisle.
4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official tone, 'Code 3' in housewares..... and watched what happened.
5.. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.
6. September 15: Set up a tent in the outdoor clothing department and told shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring sausages and a Calor gas stove.
7. September 23: When the Deputy Manager asked if she could help him, he began to cry and asked, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'
8. October 4: Looked right into the security camera; used it as a mirror, picked his nose, and ate it.
9. November 10: While appearing to be choosing kitchen knives in the Housewares aisle asked an assistant if he knew where the anti-depressants were.
10. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously, loudly humming the 'Mission Impossible' theme.
11. December 6: In the kitchenware aisle, practised the 'Madonna look' using different size funnels.
12. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed, yelled 'PICK ME!' 'PICK ME!'
13. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, assumed the foetal position and screamed 'NO! NO! It's those voices again.'
And; last, but not least:
14. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited a while; then yelled, very loudly, 'There is no toilet paper in here.'
Yours sincerely,
Charles Brown
Store Manager

I had an extremely unpleasant experience which I will make sure NEVER happens again.
As I said before, I will not go into details as I am cautious about staff checking threads but the trout knew my full name and had a list prepared of recent transactions that I had made.
I had given my debit card on the 2 previous DTDs for the credit to go back on and I issued my clubcard when requested so that they could remove points. These details were kept and investigated. If my history was questionable, I undoubtedly would have been banned. It was certainly a reality check.
Be warned!
Same for myself in the past, although I was careful enough to make sure (as far as I knew)that my card details and name were not known whenever I shopped at Tesco. At the height of R&R it was just a cautious approach even if you were not getting deliberate R&R. Just taking advantage of glitchs regularly, as people are today, could have you earmarked. I assume that things have changed as the unfortunate experience of Looby123 was once commonplace.Awaiting a new sig0 -
Hi all
I got two of the pjs today (thanks Elsie) , went to the till with lots of other stuff, lady scanned the pjs and went "oh no these are going through at £1 and they say £14 on them", i replied yes they are reduced, so she said well i cant sell them without calling the manager which she did so manager came over and said yes thats fine if they are scanning at £1, sell them at £1, so SA replies but they are worth more than £1 they clearly say £14 on them - where by my very cheeky 5 year old pipes up with "yes thats why we are buying them for my daddy" oops!!!!!
So i then get home to read on here that the tags have been left on, checked mine and yes both left on, so popped to a nearer smaller store with receipt to get them took off, as i walked in to that store the alarms start going off and security guard jumps on, i explained that i had purchased them earlier showed him receipt and he was really aggressive with "well how did you manage to get them out of the shop".
Hope everyone has had a better day than me!!!0 -

I'm always nice (not trying to say you are not BTW lol) to the people in my local and often point them at bargains. I'm known as a bargain hunter, I guess provided I don't take the p*ss by doing numerous DTD's then I should be fine. After all, Tesco still make money from me, just that as a savvy shopper and bargain hunter, its not as much as perhaps from a more ignorant shopper.
I never kick it off at CS in my local stores either.
IMO your undoing was doing 2 items in one transaction. Stuck out like a sore thumb imo.
it wasnt the 2 items in one transaction that bought about all the hoo haa...it was because their card machine wouldnt work properly and refund the money backto my debit card - they were happy enough to give me DTD and that was agreed quickly- but I spent 50 minutes arguing that if they couldnt put the money on my debit card they would need to give me cash - they wanted to give me gift vouchers! Admittedly with hindsight this drew attention to myself, but unless their policy changes then I was in the right ( I know some have mentioned doing DTD so that the refund goes back the way it was paid ie credit/debit card/cash etc...and the gratuity part goes as gift card)....the manager didnt like it because I was right- she made me phone my bank as she was convinced it was my card- and even told me to go home, order a new card...then comeback in a few weeks for my DTD lol!!!!
Whichever way you look at it, I got a fantastic deal..but paid the price by drawing attention to myself and this has materialised into something bigger. Mostly my own fault...which is why I want others to be aware and be careful:)
I'm off to do some legitimate shopping in a bit (although got a few MOCs to take with me!)...so will report back if it turns out I'm banned nationwide!!!hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0
