Maybe it depends on what role you have and where the store is.My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

Dear Mrs. Murray,
While we thank you for your valued custom and use of the Tesco Loyalty Card, the Manager of our store in Banbury is considering banning you and your family from shopping with us, unless your husband stops his antics.
Below is a list of offences over the past few months all verified by our surveillance cameras:
1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people's trolleys when they weren't looking.
2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.
3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to feminine products aisle.
4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official tone, 'Code 3' in housewares..... and watched what happened.
5.. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.
6. September 15: Set up a tent in the outdoor clothing department and told shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring sausages and a Calor gas stove.
7. September 23: When the Deputy Manager asked if she could help him, he began to cry and asked, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'
8. October 4: Looked right into the security camera; used it as a mirror, picked his nose, and ate it.
9. November 10: While appearing to be choosing kitchen knives in the Housewares aisle asked an assistant if he knew where the anti-depressants were.
10. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously, loudly humming the 'Mission Impossible' theme.
11. December 6: In the kitchenware aisle, practised the 'Madonna look' using different size funnels.
12. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed, yelled 'PICK ME!' 'PICK ME!'
13. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, assumed the foetal position and screamed 'NO! NO! It's those voices again.'
And; last, but not least:
14. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited a while; then yelled, very loudly, 'There is no toilet paper in here.'
Yours sincerely,
Charles Brown
Store Manager

Unfortunately they're within their rights but I'd say it would depend who you asked for a price check. I would have thought only a manager could refuse a sale. And yes, quite a few have managed to get them for 60p but I wouldn't go about mentioning this if you do phone HO. I would simply say that a friend/neighbour/relative had bought them for a few pounds recently (I think my mum got one at 60p but one previously for £3) so you asked for a pricecheck. Unfortunately it's your word against theirs that the item "wasn't on file" and that the staff purchased them.
Thankyou:) I think i'll just email then and see what they say:) Wasn't so much about her keeping them although that obviously annoyed us, it was more her attitude:(
Anyway, as an aside, not been a great day overall. Had a bad week last week due to some personal things and became ill with it. I couldnt bring myself to do anything, including reading the thread, nothing was important any more, anyway, finally came back on here last night to catch up on 152 pages  and had my massive list ready. We went to our only store out of 4 that has a scanner today and it has been taken off the wall:(! And everything we asked to be price checked was full price:( Only thing we managed to get was the Hungry Hippo's game on DTD which we didnt price check, just risked it and they paid us 3p to take away, so thanks to OP for that
. Nipped to express on way home where the Jammie Dogers BOG2F sel had been left up and offer has changed to BOGOF now, so got £2.30 back on DTD there innocently as we only knew when we checked the reciept
.
Then went to third T's where we got trouted with the bed guards. Not a fantastic day, but okay overall with the DTD, thats another present for santa to bring anyway:) xx0 -
