I'd like to hear his story too.

In the past I've known of a few bannings but these have always been in case where people have goen to extremes. There was the guy on the news who had a garage full of stuff, people who had 2 or 3 cars from motorpoint, other people who took RnR to extreme levels.

Are you suggesting that people who just shop VERY shrewdly are now being targetted?

Lobby did you say you only had 2 DTD's from the store you were banned from?
Can't believe I haven't been banned yet actually ....gulp!

yep French Knickers - think I'm proof of that!
And Celebrate - yep...I had the DTD on the barbie cars about 3 weeks before...then got DTD on the phones and a printer in the same transaction - both items on the clearance section with great big red stickers on showing sale price ...went through normal manned til...no distractions (i was just chatting to my sister), and they went through at the higher prices.

When the trout banned me on Tuesday she said that it was because it was such a high amount of DTD (£240) the last time, that she was suspicious and had asked me to be 'watched' in future...resulting in her pouncing on me this time before I had even paid for the item!!!

I wouldnt want my experience to put anyone else off going for DTD,especially if its genuine....but I think we all need to be aware that the staff obviously dont like giving DTD and are taking their jobs as seriously as possible to ensure that DTDs are minimal and us 'savvy shoppers' are kept to a minimum!!! ;)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

my favorite has to be yet another classic Mr T spokespersons quote....

Today a spokesman for the supermarket confirmed the mistake was operating for a short time at the company's Express stores.
She said: 'This was a small glitch in a minority of stores which has been corrected.'

Well done again Mr T :T:T:T

    Afternoon all.
I read somewhere on here about the go cook knife sets going for £25 but had 342 stickers on the front but not kicking in! Well, I decided to give it a go @ Hengrove. Went to self scan just in case it didn't work so I could make an excuse and leave! Didn't kick in and paid £75 cash. Trotted off to CS, showed her the reciept and stickers. She went straight on the tannoy and put a call out for a member of P I
Thought she called a private investigator:eek: I was now shaking! But before anyone turned up She handed me £50 and apologised for the error and to have a nice day!!! Result!:D
    Well done
PI stands for Price Integrity ( they have a PI team in each store :) )

OMG How weird is that, am trying to wrack my brains to remember who she was talking to while I was waiting for her, a little girl pushed in front of me for a pricecheck but she was probably serving you before me:T:T:T:T Give me 10 mins and will pm you the codes;)

I don't think there was anyone behind me as I left I told the ladies I was going to exit through the Self Scans so I could be nosey & see what all the fuss was about. I was on my own I didn't have my "minder" with me

I think you've hit the nail on the head with this though when you say 'trout'. I'm always nice (not trying to say you are not BTW lol) to the people in my local and often point them at bargains. I'm known as a bargain hunter, I guess provided I don't take the p*ss by doing numerous DTD's then I should be fine. After all, Tesco still make money from me, just that as a savvy shopper and bargain hunter, its not as much as perhaps from a more ignorant shopper.

I never kick it off at CS in my local stores either.

IMO your undoing was doing 2 items in one transaction. Stuck out like a sore thumb imo.

I think they were accusing them of pinching something:eek::eek::eek: Because when it calmed down they were saying something like "you wouldnt like to be accused would you"

I thought they couldn't do that until they were out of the door as up until that point they have not committed a crime

The C.S. ladies thought perhaps they were trying to buy more than was allowed on a special offer when I told them I could see a whisky bottle

I think it sounds as if T's are clamping down at the moment , I mean how many of us have started to notice security following us in store

My local T`s security guard is married to my cousin. ;)
