  • Looby123 you deserve a glass of wine before bed, then id maybe take it up with the actual store manager not the evening staff/manager especially as you hadn't even bought the knives and asked for dtd she'd approached you before you paid thats hard faced (not like us lot lol)
their all jealous cos their not allowed to get the bargains on shift

Sorry to be a pain but is there any method in the madness for the cheap menswear? Don't have a bloke but that makes it even better for wearing this kind of stuff instead of "something more comfortable" and especially at 4p!

Is it particular lines of clothing, specific seasons like AW10 or SS11, any giveaways like RTC stickers with higher prices or is it a matter of trial and error. DS1 is ill 'again' after the contact visit but if he's up for it, I might try my local as it has older stock and working scanner (the Extra today is brand new and didn't seem to have anything old nor any working scanners).

I can't seem to find much rhyme or reason in it..... just have to keep scanning... AW10 and SS11 were mentioned earlier, which may help a little, the 4p joggers were SS-11's but the £1 PJ's were AW-11's  i'm totally confussed, which isn't difficult! :D

The knifes are £25 per set and some have the 3 for 2 red circular sticker on em still.

Not going through. Pay £75 get £50 DTD. £25 for all 3 sets. They are in an upright black knife block.

    Thanks jumblejack

thank you :)...to be honest I feel like a criminal :(.....its annoyed me that so many people on here have reported people filing their trolleys with TCOs and the £1 clothes etc- surely thats taking advantage as well! And just because the staff dont do their job properly and we all 'utilise' that, I've been banned! I know its cheeky to do it, but I dont feel it warrants a ban! Fortunately theres another Extra store nearer to me so I can still shop there...but think I'll be lying very low for a very long time now!

As for going back...I'd be worried that I'd be escorted off the premises! But you're right,I think some of it is jealousy...although staff at that store and others have all been guilty of using worktime to shop for bargains...I didnt really mind....but I do now!!

My own fault though...so for anyone else....just be careful..wouldnt want any of you guys being banned and missing the glitches! :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

ok...am mortified.....been out to my 2 locals ( i often go at night to get some whoopsies!)....first one- fine...got reduced Halloween out for DD and a few bits of food we needed..and flowers...all good.....then on to local number 2.....had a look round, scanned a couple (6) toys...found the knife set marked as 3 for 2...so put 3 in my trolley....got a couple of bits of food.....went to pay at SS (all tills are shut at 10pm)....not only got completely and utterly trouted - got BANNED!!!!!!
when I got my DTD there a few weeks ago on a phone they were really awkward and refused to give me DTD - then refused to give me cash (they wanted to give me vouchers)....and it was this same manager who came marching up to me today at the SS....she grabbed the knives and told me that they werent 3for2...when i said why does the sticker say 3for2 then, she said she would honour the price for me as she would not be giving me DTD on it as shes been watching me and knows that I am 'looking' for DTD and 'abusing' their policy ....now this is where I was stupid....I SHOULD of said,'ok thanks'...but I said, 'welli dont want them then'...which kind of backed up what she was saying!
She then continued to go on at me saying that since my DTD she has had security watch me every time I come in, and that I am suspicious as I scan lots of things...and because my DTD was so high last time they are suspicious of me! I was furious! The security manager came along who told me that he has followed me many times and has every right to do so (which i agree with and told him this)....I asked what it is that I'm doing wrong - using their self scanners to check prices as in the last few weeks many items have been massively reduced, so I'd like to know the price before I get to the till - whats wrong with that? I also said that I'venever been sly about it - all 3 DTDs in that shop have gone through a manned till, not self service....so surely the till staff are not doing their job properly if they dont see the reduced price...or the other staff arent doing theirs properlyby removing OOD SELs or stickers! His reply was that they would very much prefer it if I didnt come in their shop again! When I asked how long this 'ban' would last,I was told 'forever'!!!
I felt so embarrassed- this was all at the SS in front of other customers....I walked with dignity back to my car...smoked a cigarette furiously then came home to tell hubby....who just laughed!!! He'llbe laughing on the other side of his face soon though, cos he'll have to go to that store instead now!!

sorry for the long post...but had to vent.....and also hope this serves as a bit of a warning to others to be careful and always have excuses ready!!! :)

Time to get even. email philip clarke and tell him how disgusted you are and how you feel you've been scapregoated for their incompetence. You lost a battle....make sure you win the war. ;)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
They were restocking the deals on the aisle ends this evening.
Items like smellies and toothpastes etc.
They have a plan sheet that they have to follow and out of the two ends I observed one had a sheet stating a start date of 26th Oct until 1st Nov and the other stated 2nd November until 8th. May be relevant? If it is wrong it may cause problems so I'll check out that aisle end tomorrow! :D
