All in the mens stuff.... I think i'm a girliebut it tends to be what I often wear anyway......
My OH lives away so next time he's here and I 'change into something more comfortable' I'm looking forward to appearing in the doorway wearing the other PJ's that say 'Try by Day, Score by night'...... I just know he'll ROFL :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I just want to thank everyone for posting new deals in bold, it really makes a difference. Not got a Tesco Express near me so no smarties or aero's but well done to all who managed it:)0

Regarding Caz's post about the wine- seeing as though the SNP has brought in ridiculous legislation banning multi-buy discounts on wine, I'm scared to try this now in case it doesn't compare. The big supermarkets circumvent the new law by sending the wine up from England, but how would an instore T wine purchase compare against Asda's multi price?
I'm not sure either if the 25% off is available up here...my OH frequents the wine aisle more than me lol and mostly for beer. Can somebody in Scotland that has recently tried JTD with multi-buy wine please give some feedback on this?0 -
Smarties deal working just at W0rcester Express. Not a whole lot left, perhaps someone's already cottoned on to it around here.0

If the same glitch works as last time (comparison done against full price in Ts and not with the 25% off) then you'd get back £17.74 in JTD having only paid £28.31 so £1.76 per bottle. 2nd worst case you get the £8.31 JTD and pay £3.33 per bottle (almost half price). Worst case scenario it doesn't compare and knowing Ts, this is the more likely scenario.
Someone has posted over on the wine thread that it does compare0 -
Sorry to be a pain but is there any method in the madness for the cheap menswear? Don't have a bloke but that makes it even better for wearing this kind of stuff instead of "something more comfortable" and especially at 4p!
Is it particular lines of clothing, specific seasons like AW10 or SS11, any giveaways like RTC stickers with higher prices or is it a matter of trial and error. DS1 is ill 'again' after the contact visit but if he's up for it, I might try my local as it has older stock and working scanner (the Extra today is brand new and didn't seem to have anything old nor any working scanners).0 -
Just in case anyone has read on from my post about offer on coke, I didn't read OPs post properly and it is Tescos own brand. Hope I didn't get anyone out the door to try it. x0

ok...am mortified.....been out to my 2 locals ( i often go at night to get some whoopsies!)....first one- fine...got reduced Halloween out for DD and a few bits of food we needed..and flowers...all good.....then on to local number 2.....had a look round, scanned a couple (6) toys...found the knife set marked as 3 for 2...so put 3 in my trolley....got a couple of bits of food.....went to pay at SS (all tills are shut at 10pm)....not only got completely and utterly trouted - got BANNED!!!!!!
when I got my DTD there a few weeks ago on a phone they were really awkward and refused to give me DTD - then refused to give me cash (they wanted to give me vouchers)....and it was this same manager who came marching up to me today at the SS....she grabbed the knives and told me that they werent 3for2...when i said why does the sticker say 3for2 then, she said she would honour the price for me as she would not be giving me DTD on it as shes been watching me and knows that I am 'looking' for DTD and 'abusing' their policy ....now this is where I was stupid....I SHOULD of said,'ok thanks'...but I said, 'welli dont want them then'...which kind of backed up what she was saying!
She then continued to go on at me saying that since my DTD she has had security watch me every time I come in, and that I am suspicious as I scan lots of things...and because my DTD was so high last time they are suspicious of me! I was furious! The security manager came along who told me that he has followed me many times and has every right to do so (which i agree with and told him this)....I asked what it is that I'm doing wrong - using their self scanners to check prices as in the last few weeks many items have been massively reduced, so I'd like to know the price before I get to the till - whats wrong with that? I also said that I'venever been sly about it - all 3 DTDs in that shop have gone through a manned till, not self service....so surely the till staff are not doing their job properly if they dont see the reduced price...or the other staff arent doing theirs properlyby removing OOD SELs or stickers! His reply was that they would very much prefer it if I didnt come in their shop again! When I asked how long this 'ban' would last,I was told 'forever'!!!
I felt so embarrassed- this was all at the SS in front of other customers....I walked with dignity back to my car...smoked a cigarette furiously then came home to tell hubby....who just laughed!!! He'llbe laughing on the other side of his face soon though, cos he'll have to go to that store instead now!!
sorry for the long post...but had to vent.....and also hope this serves as a bit of a warning to others to be careful and always have excuses ready!!!hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -

Got these Philips earphones in my local Extra this evening:
http://www.bestbuy.co.uk/product/1000119196/philips-she2550-in-ear-headphones-black.aspx
(Note: BestBuy link shows item and packaging - not on tesco direct site)
They had a yellow handwritten £1.25 reduction label on them but scanned at £2.50.
Good price either way but lad on till spotted the £1.25 and corrected so no DTD.
Barcode is: 8 712581 496555
Model: SHE2550/10
No Smarties left in Local Express as SEL stated 52p B1G1F so had all gone.
Peppermint Aero x4 packs were there though so got 8 packs for 3.92 (or 8 bars for 98p).
The error is that the item on the label is a large Aero bar and not a 4 bar pack.
In the Extra stores these 4 packs are £1.89 each and not on a BOGOF offer!
Saw an OOD label on wine so may try tomorrow!Keep SmilingSite member number 24
